Amazon India — Formal complaint regarding hold on gift card balance

I am writing to formally lodge a complaint on Amazon India regarding the hold placed on my Amazon gift card balance of INR 9000. I was recently informed by the amazon investigation team has flagged my gift card amount as fraudulent, leading to the funds being put on hold. However, I would like to clarify that I had legitimately purchased two gift cards on November 29, 2024 one using my husband, Mr. Govind Mundra credit card, and the other via my UPI. I have also conducted several prior transactions using the same credit card on Amazon, and I can confirm that no fraudulent activity has taken place from my end.

Despite multiple attempts to seek resolution through Amazon customer service portal and the cybercrime portal, I have not received any satisfactory resolution to date. During an in-person visit by cyber cell personnel from Whitefield CEN Police Station, Bangalore, on January 20, 2025, I was informed that my request is not valid as no fraud has been reported neither by my husband nor myself. Additionally, I understand that Amazon customer service representatives have also spoken to the investigating officers regarding this matter.

Furthermore, the senior officer at the cyber cell advised me to file an FIR against Amazon to seek a resolution. Accordingly, I have now filed an FIR, a copy of which is attached for your reference.

Despite multiple attempts with customer executive over call and email to grievance officer no positive response received.

In light of the above, I kindly request you to provide a detailed explanation regarding the hold and reconsider amazon decision, as the funds in question were acquired through legitimate means. Should you require any further verification or additional information, please let me know, and I will be happy to provide the necessary details.
