Amazon India — Formal complaint regarding late delivery and product cancellation without intimation compensation and legal notice

Address: Newtown, North 24 Parganas.

I am writing to formally raise a serious grievance regarding the unacceptable handling of my recent order placed on your platform (Order ID:[protected], dated[protected], for the product Titan Bandhan Quartz Analog with Date silver Dial Stainless steel.
1. Facts of the Case
The order was confirmed and payment of ₹7844 was made in full through Credit card.
The expected delivery date was [Insert Date]. Despite this, there was an inordinate delay with no proactive communication from your side.
To my surprise and dismay, the order was arbitrarily cancelled without any prior notice, approval, or explanation.
Despite multiple attempts to contact your support team, I received either no response or vague replies with no resolution.
2. Legal Grounds
This conduct is a clear violation of consumer rights as protected under the Consumer Protection Act, 2019, particularly:
Section 2(6): Deficiency in service – Your failure to deliver the product and subsequent cancellation without informin...eby demand the following compensation:
Refund of the Product Price: ₹[Insert Product Price] with interest at 18% per annum from the date of payment till the date of refund.
Delivery of the Same Product: Or its latest equivalent model at the original price promised.
Compensation of ₹1, 00, 000 for:
Mental agony
Wasted time and effort
Breach of trust
Violation of consumer rights
4. Final Intimation Before Legal Action
Should I not receive a satisfactory resolution including written apology, refund with interest, delivery of the product, and compensation within 7 days from the receipt of this letter/email, I shall be compelled to initiate the following actions without any further notice:
File a formal complaint before the District Consumer Disputes Redressal Commission under the Consumer Protection Act, 2019.
Initiate proceedings under the Legal Metrology Act, if applicable.
Report to the Ministry of Consumer Affairs, and publish the matter on consumer forums and social media platforms.
