Amazon India — Misused card details and debited my account without my knowledge | |||||
On 8th of july 2017, my account was debited with an amount of 741.02 inr from amazon prime at 8:55am. As soon as got the notification of the deduction it was suspicious as no transaction was made by me. I called up the bank and they blocked my card and the net banking services for security reasons. When investigated further with the bank they informed me that this amount was debited by amazon because of their prime membership services. When i checked my account, i saw that no services was opted by me from amazon. I called up the amazon.in customer care and they informed me that the amazon.in prime subscription charges are 499 inr, however the amount of 741.02 inr is for amazon.com (Us website) prime subscription and i need to call them up to resolve this. I told them that i don't and never used amazon.com and its not possible as my card details are saved only in amazon.in. However, i called the amazon.com (Us website) customer care and they could not track the transaction. I again called the amazon.in customer care and they were not ready to listen to me and they said that we don not have a record of this and cant help you out. This is a complete misuse of customer card details and is clearly a security issue. I want my money back. This has led to a lot of troubles as i had to opt for a fresh card.
