Amazon India — Unexpected order return | |||||
I am Karan Singh from Jabalpur. I recently ordered a product from amazon on 13th April, 2017 and on the day it was out for delivery the status changed to "returning to seller" without my knowledge. the reason was shown that the product was rejected on delivery even though the delivery person never even came to my house. The delivery person never even contacted me. Every time I am provided with a contact number of the delivery person via SMS except this time there was no mention of it. On contacting the customer support I was told that the package was defective and for that reason the package was being returned without my knowledge. This raises the question that how do they know the product was defective? No one knows what's inside the box until it has been delivered, so how did they find out it was defective? I have already waited a long time for it and don't want to wait for another 6-7 days. Since it's currently in my city I want it to be delivered. There's is no problem if they were unable to deliver it on the given date, but at least the customer should be updated with the reasons why there was a problem.
