Amazon India Customer Care's response Reference No. – 6573
We have perused the complaint received from Ms. Anjaly (“Complainant”) and find that she had ordered for Huggies New Born Taped Diapers (72 Counts) ("Product") from an independent third party seller Cloudtail India Private Limited ("Seller") on the website: www.amazon.in ("Website").
It is submitted that a refund for a value of Rs. 719.00, as requested and required by the Complainant was processed into her Original payment Method on 2nd November, 2019 vide refund reference number 28LH4DIS0000K25O54SW.
In case, the Complainant has not received the refund in the original mode of payment selected while placing the order, she is requested to kindly contact the customer care department of the concerned bank.
The refund has been made from the nodal account managed by the designated bank as per the RBI circular dated 24.11.2009 on operation of nodal account: https://www.rbi.org.in/scripts/NotificationUser.aspx?Mode=0&Id=5379.
Further, it is submitted that our role is limited to that of an intermediary and we are not the seller/manufacturer of the products listed on our Website. The products listed on our Website are sold by independent third party sellers.
In view of the above, the issue stands closed.
