I had brought an Amul Icecream buy 1 get 1 offer, flavour Fruit Bonanza for rs 130/-. from Reliance outlet, annanagar, Chennai last week. It was so bad , it had sand particles diffusely spread in it. Also it caused severe throat irritation after just tasting one bit. the whole thing was binned. This is not the 1st time. I have faced similar situation when I brought a similar pack, different flavour from santosh Stores, Annanagar.

I haved purchased a 2 ltr Butter Scotch Amul Ice Cream from Sewri, Mumbai retailer. When we opened it, there was a piece of hand glouse inside the ice cream.

Hello Sir,

All those companies I mentioned (Mother Dairy, Amul, Mahananda, Aarey) are selling milk packets on the price more than the Maximum Retail Price. Can we do something about this?

I Had sent mail informaing Amul about the quality of the milk , when i opened the tetrapack of amul lite, normally the colour is white but the color i recieved had a pinkish tinge, i reported them with the batch number and mfg date of product. But to my dismay , they have not responded to 2 mails. I am a regular user, but now am sceptical o[censored]sing their products, who knows if it is a manufacturing defect or spurious, Consumers should be wary before using their milk products for kids especially.

I have been using Amul milk for many years. Recently I realized that date of manufacturing written on the milk packet is always one day ahead. For example, if today's date is 20th, the packet has 21st written on it. I believe it's manufacturing date and not expire date. Please let me know if I'm correct. If so, let me know what I should be doing?

Sub: Complain of not receiving the milk on the routine scheduled time.

We are distributor of Amul Milk since last five years in the Vastral, Area of Ahmedabad.
We are not getting the milk since last 7 days when we have asked the reason for this to the Area Sales Manager. When we didn't receive the proper feedback then we went to their Gandhinagar (Mother Dairy ) Branch and the reason got by them was that:

You will not get the milk for selling because you are not selling the Amul Ice-Cream. When we denied to do that they stopped to deliver milk from the next day. We don't want to sell the Amul Ice-cream due to following reasons:
1.We have tied up with Vadilal Industries Ltd for selling Ice-cream and we much satisfied with their service and we don't want to sell any other company's purchase. Even we have made the agreement for this with M/s Vadilal Industries Ltd.
2.Whereas there is not much qualitative ice-cream compare to anyother ice-cream
3.Amul Company has never given any such services compare to Vadilal Industries so how can we entrust that they will give the better service for selling the Ice-cream.

I want to understand that do we have a such policy in our country where we have purchase the other product for getting a needed products.

on 2nd nov 1805 i bought 2 packs of super saver ice cream butter scotch, fruit &nut after assurance of the staff that it is safe to take to andheri .in half hour it was half melted .only butter scotch pack it leaked out of the plastic bag provided , dripped to the floor. talked to mr. jiten.tamore owner .
there should be warning if it cannot be carried.but friut &nut didnot melt. please look in to the matter.

We buy Amul milk regularly at a higher price than other brands.

Our 2.0 Kgs milk damaged on 21st September, 2009 and booked my complaint with them after trying to phone at No 28524337 many times as I was getting no reply from this number.

Finally I spoke to one Mr Kutty at this number and also to Mr Rohit at his mobile [protected] and he informed me that a voucher is being issued for this milk but it will take four days to reach this voucher through the shop from where we are buying the milk on daily basis.

It is now more than fifteen days, there is no news from these people.

I have phoned to Mr Kutty many times and have spent probably Rs 50/- for the phone calls but there is no action from them.

Milk products of amul india is given by retailer 1/2 to 1.5 rupees above the MRP IN Naliya kutch Gujarat.
is it justified?

Today, I went to buy a packet of 100gm amul butter, and the shopkeeper had given me a chocolate with it,
i asked him whether it si free with amul? He said no, if you have to buy a butter cake then it is only available with this chocolate, only packet of butter is not available.He said that its company policy, I can't do anything.
Its the exploitation of middle class people.

I want clarification on it.Its the straight case of black marketing.

This is with reference to the "Jaago Grahak Jaago" initiative taken by the Ministry of Consumer Affairs, Govt of India.

I have been reportedly been asked to pay, for Amul butter (100grams) which has an MRP of Rs:21, Rs:23.
The shopkeeper has mentioned that the product is not available in market from company and is being sold in black. He (shopkeeper) has also challenged the initiative taken by govt for consumer protection against unethical retails practices prevailing in market by rudely saying "jo karna hai kar lo, jaha complaint karni hai kar do" (do what ever u want, complain about it where ever u want.

I want a strict and prompt action against the shopkeeper.

It is absolutely true. I stay at Mazgaon and we bring 2 litres at home everyday we are charged 2 rs more per litre on MRP on Amul milk packets.
I also don't know the right channel to complaint.
Since you also have complained in august and no reply from Amul Milk authorities, it seems like nobody is bothered about the common man and the corruption has reached at our doorstep and it starts right 1st thing in the morning. GOD please save this country it looks like its going to dogs.
I hope somebody will come for our rescue.

Overpricing (above the printed price)

I have been purchasing amul milk regularly for the consumption of my family. The cost of 1/2 litre of milk is Rs. 12/- (as per the printed mrp). However, this smart guy charged me Rs. 12.5/-.Hence behind every one and half litre i have to pay 1.5 Rs. more. That means i have to pay 1.5 rs more one and half litre than the printed price. please look into this matter. all the milk shops in-c.s. road no.2, anandnagar dahisar(e) mumbai-68 charges this much. plz kindly look into this matter.

I bought an AMUL ORANGE CANDY, bearing Batch no GT 162, Packed June 2009, from one of the Grocery shop in Siddarth Nagar, Borivali East, Mumbai.

On opening the pack, I found that there was a FLY stuck to the icecream candy. Is this the Quality control the COMPANY is following?

The company has got ISO certifications but I really do not know that they mean?????

I request you to take necessary action on the same.

I am a resident of Mumbai, andheri (W). I would like to draw your attention that all the amul milk suppliers are charging more than the MRP mentioned on the pack. Since everyone in the area is doing so we have no option but to pay that higher price. The MRP of amul gold as mentioned is Rs 28 per liter but we have to pay Rs 31.
I have even tried to call the customer care of Amul on the number mentioned at the back of pack, but no one answers the call.

I purchased Choco-chips Icecream 1ltr from Jain Dairy on Devidayal road in Mulund West, Mumbai for Rs125 on 9th Aug 2009. The Batch number was CT225 and Packaging month was written as 08/09.
To my surprise there were very few choco chips in the icecream which is otherwise loaded with the same. It was as if we are having plain chocolate icecream with one or two choco-chips thrown in. Earlier too we had the same type of complaint with your Raj-Bhog Icecream which was devoid of any dryfruits.

Please do something as this will surely affect your reputation.

I purchased 100gm Amul butter pack from Nearby Grocery shop on dated 14-Aug-09 in Ghaziabad.
This butter pack had a lot of Black and Grey spots marks of fungus on the surface of butter. Batch Code is MD-035 & Mfg Month is April 09.
I have photographs of this defective product with me.
How such kind of defective batch can release from their plant to sell in the market.
What is action plan by Amul to ensure the right quality product for the customers.

we are purchasing milk from door-to-door supplier, who delivers in the morning at following address:
Vidya nagar SBI Officers's quarters, evershine nagar, malad (w), mumbai. On scrutiny, we found that the packets seems to be re-packed, most probably by adding outside contents to the company packed contents. we are unable to find out the level of adultration and also what we should do. please help us.

I have purchased today one litre double tonned milk from m/s malhotra dairy saharanpur. The provided milk is defective and can not be used while I complained to the dairy owner he refused to replace the packet and told me that the distributor of amul milk not return the defective packs. I am surprised to note that the company is selling defective product in the market and also refusing to replace. This is the open cheating with the customer.

Hi, this is avinash I am staying at kalyan east. there are some retailers sold amul taja milk @ Rs.13/- for half a litter though MRP is Rs. 11/- .please do the needful as soon as possible.
