I am writing to complain about my i-phone insurance claim being rejected.

On 21st december 2016, i bought an i phone 7 from lajpat nagar and at the same day bought insurance from ‘apps you need insurance company’ whose employee was present in the apple store at the same time.

On 27th february 2017, i was traveling from lajpat nagar to igi airport for indonesia for nine days. During the start of my journey from lajpat nagar to igi airport my phone was stolen. As i was in a hurry to catch my flight, i wasn’t able to file an fir on same day, and as also i was not carrying any document of phone purchase and insurance, that`s why i was not able to inform the insurance company.

On 8th march 2017, i returned back at 1.30 am in the night and then next day after speaking to your company representative i filed an fir at lajpat nagar police station for the mobile theft. And after getting my fir i have uploaded all the documents required by your company on your website.

Next day after uploading of the documents we have received a mail from your official email id that our claim is rejected.

I am sure that you made a mistake by not understanding my situation. I would like you to investigate this matter and pay the claim.

I am looking for solution here as my two month old phone has been theft. And it cost me 60000 and insurance 3500. What is the use of taking insurance then.

If you will make fool to people like this I would definitely file a complain in consumer forum.

Dear Claimant,

As per FIR & claim incident report the incident was happened on 27.02.17, & the FIR was registered on 09.03.17, & the complain was generated on 10.03.17, So the FIR was registered before Complain generation, which is not acceptable. As per policy claimant have to generate and intimate about incident within 48 hours. Hence case is repudiated.

Sir as i am tracking my claim status and there is written that we have recieved your device and it shall be repaired and sent it to you by 11/03/2017 and today is 16/03/2017 and i havent got my phone or any calls or messages of my device so i request you to please let me know when i will get my device (iphone 5s) my cin no is SD[protected]
