I purchased an ASUS TUF laptop (Serial No: R5NRCX01W796193, Date of Purchase: 05/02/2024) for around ₹60, 000. After just about one year, the laptop developed a Wi-Fi hardware issue, despite normal and careful usage.
This is not an isolated case. Thousands of ASUS TU[censored]sers across the world are facing the exact same Wi-Fi failure, including at least 5 people in my own hostel with the same model. Discussions on Reddit (r/ASUSTUF) and other platforms show that this is a widespread model defect.
ASUS is wrongly claiming it as my usage issue and asking for chargeable repair, despite this clearly being a manufacturing or design fault. Other companies (like Lenovo) repair model defects beyond warranty at no cost, and ASUS should do the same.
I am seeking the intervention of the Consumer Forum to direct ASUS to repair or replace the faulty part free of cost as this is a model-wide defect and not my fault.
