Complaint:
I opened a savings account with Axis Bank after completing full Video KYC and PAN verification. The bank confirmed activation and I transferred my funds. However, suddenly and without any prior notice, the account was frozen and all transactions were blocked.
It has now been 15 days. During this period, I have repeatedly visited the branch but only received contradictory excuses — first they said approval was pending, then promised to issue a Demand Draft within a day, and now claim that my Customer ID is inactive and needs more time.
Due to this negligence, my salary has not been credited, my college fees are pending, and my EMIs are delayed, causing me severe financial and mental stress.
When I posted a review earlier, Axis Bank responded asking me to contact Twitter support. On Twitter, a Service Request (No.[protected] was generated 6 days ago, but no action has been taken till date.
This is clear financial harassment, violation of customer rights, and a breach of RBI’s fair banking practices guidelines.
Relief Sought:
Immediate reactivation of my savings account OR refund of my complete balance via Demand Draft.
A written explanation for freezing my account without any legal/written notice.
Compensation for the harassment, delays, and financial losses suffered.
