Axis Bank — amount got debited but merchant says the transaction has been denied

But got mail from merchant as

Dear Madam,

Please find the below details from the concern department regarding your transaction.

''The said customer has herself initiated the NEFT payment on[protected]:56:09 and[protected]:52:44, time difference of both payment is 4 Minutes. Off line NEFT request processed on next working days, hence both the payments are debited on 11.07.2016. Hence we are unable to reverse the transaction. kindly ask the sender to settle with beneficiary customer''.

When I first did a transaction, the system gave me an error and said transaction did not happen and no confirmation mail on it

So went ahead and did another transaction to beneficiary

But for the failed transaction, the amount got debited from my savings account
