I am writing to formally bring to your attention the inappropriate and distressing conduct of the officers from your Fort branch — Mr. Manish Mule, Mr. Manoj, and Mr. Manish Awhad — who visited my residence on 30th and 31st December 2024. Their actions have caused me immense discomfort and have raised serious concerns about the integrity and professionalism of your bank's staff.
Details of the Incident:
1. 30th December 2024:
Mr. Manoj and Mr. Manish Awhad visited my residence unannounced and without my prior consent, causing significant distress.
They made intimidating statements, suggesting I would not receive the refund for my investment made in 2022 (which I am already following up on separately).
Both officers called Mr. Manish Mule, who instructed them to dictate a letter to me, making baseless allegations against your staff member, Ms. Priya Mishra. They assured me that writing the complaint would expedite the refund process. I reluctantly complied under pressure.
2. 31st December 2024:
Mr. Manish Mule, accompanied by Mr. Manoj and Mr. Manish Awhad, visited my residence again to thank me for submitting the false complaint.
During this visit, Mr. Mule asked intrusive and inappropriate questions about Ms. Priya, made derogatory remarks about her character, and attempted to access my phone to review call logs.
When I later attempted to contact Mr. Mule to clarify the matter, he ignored my calls (attached are the call logs for your reference).
Key Issues:
These incidents raise several serious concerns:
1. Criminal Trespass (Section 441, IPC): Entering my premises without permission constitutes a violation of my rights.
2. Violation of Right to Privacy (Article 21): The intrusive behavior and unauthorized visit infringed upon my fundamental right to privacy.
3. Workplace Misconduct: Making defamatory statements about a colleague (Ms. Priya) reflects unethical conduct and breaches your organization's employment policies.
4. Harassment (Section 503, IPC): I was coerced into writing a false complaint under threat and intimidation, which constitutes harassment.
5. Consumer Protection Violation (Consumer Protection Act, 2019): Using undue pressure to address internal workplace issues under the guise of resolving my grievance violates consumer rights.
My Demands:
1. A thorough investigation into the actions of Mr. Manish Mule, Mr. Manoj, and Mr. Manish Awhad.
2. Immediate resolution of my pending refund from Bajaj Allianz, without any further intimidation or misrepresentation.
3. Compensation of ₹ 1 lakh for the harassment, mental anguish, and breach of trust caused by these incidents.
Next Steps:
If this matter is not addressed promptly and fairly, I will have no option but to:
Escalate this issue to the police and media.
File a legal complaint in court for harassment, trespass, defamation, and breach of consumer rights.
As a woman, I feel deeply unsafe and disappointed with the lack of professionalism displayed by your staff. It is concerning that three male officers were sent to my residence instead of involving a female representative, especially for sensitive matters.
I trust that Axis Bank will take this matter seriously and uphold its commitment to ethical practices and customer welfare. I look forward to your swift action and resolution.
I was told by BAJAJ ALLIANZ that my money can be refunded basis Axis Bank approval. The same is pending from their end.
Yours sincerely,
Bhagyashree Sawant
