This is to keep you posted that I am having an AXIS Personal Loan vide loan account no. PPR[protected] for which the EMI amount is INR 1731.
The EMI was getting debited through ECS from my ICICI bank savings account #[protected] on 5th of every month.
Please check my repayment track record so far wherein there is not a single EMI got skipped.
In April, 2017, I have visited Axis Bank Loan Centre at Kolkata for submission of a request on ECS swapping. I have requested for the ECS to be swapped from my ICICI Bank A/C to SCB A/C and have done all the necessary formalities related to swapping as directed by the customer service desk officer. I have submitted one request letter along with SPDCs and 1 cheque of INR 575 on account of ECS swapping charges. I was given a service request no 11070948 for future references.
I was being told by AXIS bank customer support desk that the EMI for the month of May, 2017 would be debited from ICICI bank account only and the same will be taking place from my SCB account with effect from June, 2017.
It is extremely unfortunate that today I have received a call from Axis Bank collection team that my EMI for May is overdue and need to be paid immediately. I was surprised by this issue and have explained the collection team about the ECS swapping details. They have understood the issue and asked me to make the payment online to the Axis PL loan account no PPR[protected].
Now please let me know that where is my fault in this EMI getting into overdue string though I have kept sufficient balance in my both the savings accounts ( ICICI and SCB as well )
This is extremely disgusting customer service from a reputed bank like Axis. It's an example of sheer negligence and miscommunication by the bank's customer service desk at Kolkata.
Because of this process lapse ofAxisr bank's mechanism, my CIBIL history might be getting impacted for this overdue of 1 EMI. I have never defaulted on a single repayment in my entire track records with Axis and other financial institutions as well.
Being a banker, I will keep this highlighted to consumer forum and social media as well.
Axis Bank authority to ensure the following to be done on utmost importance and without fail.
1) I will not pay any overdue / bounce charges related to this incident
2) my CIBIL history should not be impacted due to this callous behaviour of Axis bank
3) ECS to be debited from my SCB account going forward
I need a confirmation within next 24 hrs.
