[Resolved] Axis Bank — Credit card limit merge and unauthorized charges | |
Hi my name is parmod tomer. One 16th jun 2021 axis bank merged my credit limit to Rs 58000 of all my 3 cards without any intimation given to me at all! I was all through paying the bills on time and was using my credit cards since 2017 all 3 cards are from axis bank. I called up the board line number and the axis bank customer care almost 18 to 20 times, wrote several emails to their support team but i was not responded at all. I spoke to the escalation desk surendra singh rathore from Noida he harassed me further refusing to give me any reason sighting its "bank's descretion". I then asked my branch in pallavpuram (meerut) to get in touch with the team, they got in touch with the product team and they only said the customer has to pay! For a whole month i grappled into how do i suddenly arrange for funds because if the bank had to merge the credit limits why would it then not do it before giving me the cards? I mean they gave me the latest card and within a month all 4 limits were merged leaving me completely stuck with how to make the payment! I wrote to the principle nodal officer as well the nodal officer but no one has bothered to reply nor help or explain. I also was a victim to such sudden limit merges in july 8 2018 and september 22 2019 when i got my second and third card from the bank where they suddenly merged the limit to -128000 an -197000. On calling the bank the customer care raised a request number and i had email records thankfully saved but no one had an answer and then suddenly the limits de merged! However this time what happened was a huge nightmare because they trapped me after allowing me to use the cards in individual limits, refused to help me consolidate the amount to be paid, adding various hidden charges and even the minimum dues shot up owing to 45 or 48 thousand rupees a month. I requested them to help me in consolidating the debt since they had merged the limits and consolidated without telling me despite my good payment history. But now somehow i paid of 38000to the 3 cards and despite my request to shut my one card ending 7828 after paying the full amount penny by penny they have charged me with rs 2123 of acceleration!!! How blood sucking and miserable they are. My credit limit on the statements differ from the mobile app and after a month long harassment no replies, no help i have no other way but to write down my details here because this is a kind of a scam where bank allows you with individual limits and after you use them suddenly merges to scam you with excess charges and doesn't even tell you the reason!
