My Painful Experience
I submitted my application for opening my Axis Bank Priority Account at the Axis Bank Kiosk setup in our office . All the required documents and the applications for
- Priortiy Bank Account
- Credit Card
- Demat Account
was submitted to the Axis Bank Sales officer on 9th June 2014. I picked Axis Bank over HDFC Bank as I was assured that as a priority customer I will be assigned a dedicated relationship manager who will help me with my account opening formalities at Axis Bank, Vasant Kunj Branch, New Delhi and also help me get a locker at the Branch.
This is when my painful experience with Axis Bank began.
1)My welcome kit did not reach me till 15 days post submitting my application.I somehow managed to live with the delay, even though I was promised that it will not take more than 5 days to receive my welcome kit.
2) I did not get my salary credited into the Axis Bank a/c on time(30th June 2014) due to some technical error on your part.I eventually got my salary credited on 1st July 2014 EoD.
3)I called up the call center requesting a call back from the relationship manager so that I can initiate a request for a locker at the branch. This is where the Vasant Kunj Bank Branch has been most evasive and dismissive of my requests. I have tried calling up my relationship manager(Ankita Negi from Vasant Kunj branch) but to no response. Even when I visited the branch I was rudely told that we can't help and you need to speak to the person who has taken your account opening application.On the contrary, each time I raised a request/complaint, the same got closed without informing me and with frivolous reasons such as- the customer was not available, the issue has been resolved, action taken etc.
4) Each time I raised a complaint I was assured of action within 24hrs/ 48hrs, but I never received any status update - neither on phone nor SMS nor through email. I fail to understand how Axis Bank monitors complaints raised by customers
5) I still don't know the status of my credit card application..
Even after such a horrific experience, I wanted to give AXIS Bank one more chance, but to my dismay I when I called up Axis Bank Credit Card Cell on 20th July 2014, asking for the status of my credit card application. I was told that they do not have any application in their database and have to start the application once again
Now my genuine concerns are
1) What do I need to do in order to get my dedicated relationship manager to speak to me?
2)As I have not received any services from my dedicated relationship manager, can I treat the same as a false sales promise.
3) Why should I not lodge a consumer complaint for making false promises at the time of selling banking service
4) What has happened to my credit card application, has the my application been lost and my personal data comprised.What are your safeguards in managing customer data?
5) Does your consumer complaint process allow the complaint to be closed unilaterally without informing the complainant.
