Axis Bank — inflation of home loan principal post migration from citibank

My Citibank Home Credit loan of Rs.84, 00, 000 was migrated to Axis Bank in July 2024. Citibank’s certified loan statements clearly confirm:

Total principal repaid before migration: Rs.43, 48, 603.88

Correct principal outstanding at migration: Rs.40, 51, 396.12

However, Axis Bank recorded the migrated principal as Rs.62, 16, 597.88, which is Rs.21, 65, 501.76 higher than the principal certified by the originating bank.

Axis Bank has been charging interest on this inflated principal since July 2024.

2. Axis Bank Responses Ignore Citibank’s Certified Data
Despite my repeated submissions, Axis Bank has provided:

Identical template responses

No reference to Citibank’s certified principal repaid

No counter-document from Citibank contradicting the Rs.43, 48, 603.88 principal already repaid

Instead, Axis Bank relies solely on its own internal reconciliation sheet—without reconciling it against Citibank’s certified data.
