[Resolved]  Axis Bank — intentional and false guidance by axis bank executive in taking personal loan

I am an axis bank customer since 2009 and using savings account, credit cards of axis bank. I would like to bring to your kind notice that i was misguided and provided false information by an axis bank executive while applying personal loan. As per the mails and calls from axis bank during the month of october 2019, i am eligible for pre-approved instant personal loan of rs.7, 20, 000 for which i need not submit any documents. To know the procedure to apply for the same, i called customer care center and enquired the loan department. After a couple of days, i received a call from axis bank executive from nearby branch (Jaya nagar, bangalore) for loan process and i enquired him about the process of applying for pre-approved instant personal loan. But the representative collected documents from me even after knowing that i have pre-approved instant loan offer. Next day, i got a call from axis customer care center mentioning about the pre-approved instant loan and someone guided me the online process and i found the pre-approved loan roi was 11.99% and when i tried to complete the online process, my application stated a message “your application for this offer is already in progress/disbursed through another channel (Code:28)”. Customer care representative said someone else have initiated normal personal loan process. When i enquired the executive who collected the documents, he admitted that he has started processing normal individual personal loan instead of pre-approved instant personal loan. Shockingly the rate of interest mentioned by him was 13.99% which is more than pre-approved instant personal loan’s roi. This clearly showed that he gave false information stating that he is collecting the documents only for processing pre-approved instant loan. I lost the opportunity of pre-approved instant personal loan. When i called to customer care center, they asked me to talk to the representative or sales manager to cancel the applied loan and apply again for pre-approved instant personal loan. I requested him to close the loan process and he is not closing and was giving some reasons. When someone called for verification process for that normal loan, i requested them not to proceed the loan process further which may affect my cibil score. Even after that they have approved the loan for higher rate of interest. I have made several complaints in all possible ways including customer care center, nodal officer and principal officer and they are simply asking more than 10 days time for each and every mail and nothing is solved till now. I have initiated complaint on 23 october 2019 and nothing happened till now. They are least bothered about my complaints. Problems faced by me because of this incident are stress, waste of time, cibil score reduction, trusted axis bank and missed loan from other banks too. Now i have taken loan from a private finance company where rate of interest is 24%. Believing axis bank, i lost my reputation among friends and relatives because of inability to pay the money in right time. Expecting a solution at the earliest.

Finally I registered complaint with RBI and immediate action was taken by the bank. After 2 months continuous efforts with Axis bank, I received the loan amount with expected rate of interest. Axis bank would have done this long before. Anyway my fate played well. Thank you AXIS BANK for your support.
