Hi,
Last month(September 2023)Axis Bank debited money from my amount stating "sf failure loan repayment charges" eventhough money has been debited on the same day.
When I questioned them i was informed when Axis Bank was trying to debit money at the time there was no sufficient funds so bounce charges has been debited.
But the complete EMI amount has been debited on the same day.(September 10 around 10 am) They told it was RBI norms and when there is no enough fund at the first time (sep 10 around early morning )when bank tried to debit the money at that time there is no enough amount so the existing amount was debited at that time and late charges applied for the failure.
When I was checking my account statement I was unable to find any transaction details relevant to this debit transaction instead it was updated debit on Sep 11 2023
When I asked they told me eventhough you have paid complete amount on sep 10 2023 but it was paid twice so as per RBI norms it was updated like that
But Now this month (10th October 2023) I had enough amount in my account and the complete EMI was debited successfully on the same date without any arrears.
Still I was charged sf failure loan repayment charges today (October 11 2023)
I really don't understand why failure charges is getting applied even I pay amount on the same day
Is really RBI follows some standard like that ? Was this information helpful? |
