[Resolved] Axis Bank — Wrong cheque clearing | |||
I issued one cheque no. 768914 for rs. 3400/- on 8.12.16 in the name of ravinder kumar. This cheque is sent for clearing through united bank, located at kasan, imt maneser, gurgaon and i got the massage on 14.12.16, that cheque is received for clearing for rs. 8400/- and it is deducted from my account on same day. I am surprised that how the amount '3400/-' became '8400/-.'but the amount is not credited into beneficiary account till 16.12.16, 12.30 pm. I want to know how it is possible that issuing amount is 3400/-could be considered 8400/- by bank and debited from my account? How this money will be credited back in my a/c?
