Bajaj Allianz — Inadequate response to insurance claim

Website:www.bajajallianz.com

On December 21st, while returning from Hinjawadi on the Wakad highway, I encountered a concealed pothole obscured by a four-wheeler. This led to substantial damage to both front and back rims, and subsequent inspection on the 22nd revealed an engine oil leak. On the 23rd, I arranged for my motorcycle to be towed to the service station. Despite the vehicle being under warranty and insurance, the ordeal worsened as the insurance claim process unfolded. The surveyor, Mr. Mahesh Darwatkar, provided no assistance for 15 days, causing unnecessary delays and inconvenience. Shockingly, he rejected the claim, asserting no visible damage, despite the service station estimating repair costs at 20, 000 and having photographic evidence of the damage. With a zero depreciation insurance valid for a year, only five months into its term, the rejection was perplexing. Despite reaching out to Mr. Mahesh and six other Bajaj Allianz personnel via emails and calls, my pleas for clarification or resolution went unanswered. A month later, my vehicle remains stranded at the service center, causing immense frustration and stress.

A desirable resolution would be for Bajaj Allianz to promptly reassess the claim, considering the photographic evidence and the service station's estimate. Clear communication, a swift release of the insurance claim, and compensation for the extended inconvenience would contribute to resolving the situation and rebuilding trust.
