[Resolved] Bangalore Metropolitan Transport Corporation [BMTC] — acceptance of aadhar card as proof of evidence | |||||
Today I travelled in BMTC buses from Rajajeswari Nagar to Jayanagar 4th Block via Banashankari. I boarded bus route No. 13 from Banshankari to Jayanagar at about 5.47 pm vide ticket No. T 108 210FA/1 11.01.18. I am a senior citizen of 64 years of age and I produced my Aadhar Card No.[protected] as evidence of my claim as senior citizen. He refused to accept Aadhar card as evidence and insisted me to produce Senior Citizen Card as per instructions from his higher authorit Is it a fact? . I travelled by paying normal fare. Incidentally I travelled from RR Nagar to Uttarahally and to Banashankari in 2 different buses of BMTC and the conducts of these two routes have accepted Aadhar Card.When the conductors of these two routes have accepted Aadhar Card wheat is the problem is accepting the same by him. When Aadhar card is issued by the Government of India and the same is accepted through out India by all the authorities including Railways, Income-tax, passport authorities, why the same cannot be accepted by BMTC. The conductor behaved rudely with me and created a scene before the fellow passengers . Please advise your staff to accept aadhar card also as a proof of senior citizen and suitably warn your conductor. Was this information helpful? | |||||
