[Resolved] HDFC Bank Bank Forexplus Card — Horrible User Experience | |
My company provided me a HDFC Bank Forexplus card to use in my trip to USA. Since I did not want to use my INR credit card for online purchase in USA, I used Forexplus card and that is the biggest mistake I have made. The card deducts money for all transactions inlcuding failed or cancelled transactions. Last two examples are where orders were cancelled and stores did not charge anything after putting initial hold but money still not credited back to my account and store claims they never charged it. On contacting bank via official channel, they say this will return after a MONTH. Another example, store put a hold and did not charge for next few days due to shipment delays, money was deducted from my account the day hold was created. Hold got expired for store and when they are trying to actually charge, bank taking this as another transaction and it is failing since I do not have sufficient funds for second time paying and why should I pay twice for same transaction. Bank asks stores to call them to cancel and HDFC do not have any international number. I got one US number and that number clearly responded not to contact them for billing issues :-( Please do not ever use HDFC Bank Forexplus card or else you will suffer like me. I have 100 USD worth of orders stuck where money is charged but merchants didn't het it. HDFC bank, please do not ask me to contact your customer service desk since it DOES not exist, I have your answer, money will be refunded after a month so enjoy your trip without money with us. In these days of technological advancement, I dont know why HDFC is still using the ATM machines which dont have "Cash deposit Facility". For a customer like me, who has to frequently deposit Cash finds its difficult to stand in serpentine queues all the time at Dombivli Branch. Inspite of several complaints, nobody responded. It seems that they are only interested in Coporate Clients. Because HDFC is safest Private sector Bank, i have taken huge exposure to bank with several saving A/cs linked to Platinum Credit card, Shares Trading A/c etc.
Whenever I visit Dombivli Branch to deposit CASH, its long queues, with no power, no Air-conditioner & sweating like hell, its really painful.
