I would like to raise a consumer complaint against Bhanzu for poor educational services, unfair refund practices, and withholding our paid fees.
We are based in Melbourne, Australia, and enrolled our child with Bhanzu more than one year ago. We paid the complete program fee upfront amounting to ₹2, 25, 000 INR with the expectation of receiving quality mathematics tutoring suitable for the Australian education system.
Unfortunately, the service provided was not satisfactory. The teaching quality was below expectations, classes were frequently disrupted due to teachers taking days off, and the tutoring approach was not aligned with Australian school standards. After our child's performance started declining, Bhanzu asked us to provide the Australian curriculum details so they could adjust their teaching, which should have been understood before enrolling international students.
When we requested cancellation and a refund due to dissatisfaction with the service, the Bhanzu team repeatedly pressured us to continue classes for another 2–3 months. Later, they refused to refund our money, stating that our child had not completed the required number of classes.
Despite paying the full amount upfront and repeatedly following up, we have not received our refund. We believe this is an unfair practice and a deficiency of service.
We request the Consumer Protection Department to:
1. Investigate Bhanzu's service and refund practices.
2. Direct Bhanzu to refund the full amount of ₹2, 25, 000 INR paid by us.
3. Take appropriate action to prevent other families, especially international students, from facing similar issues.
We can provide payment receipts, enrollment details, and all communication records with Bhanzu as supporting evidence.
