Namaskar,
It is very painful to inform you that your UPI account holder is committing fraud to people out of which one incident has occurred with me. I am trying to search the contact number regarding booking the room in the Swargashram Trust Rishikesh online. When I searched on the google website, the contact no. [protected] was shown on the web page (screenshot is enclosed). I contacted him, he sent me pictures of the room and asked me to send the money through the QR code sent by him on whatsup. I transferred the amount of Rs. 1000/- through the QR code (screenshot attached). The QR code showed the name Sagar and the UPI Id showed that BHARATPE[protected]@yesbankltd.
After a few minutes he called me back and asked me to scan the QR code again and fill the confirmation number in the amount column. But I refused to do it but he showed that it is the requirement for confirmation and room. Then I filled number 2 in the amount column and again mentioned the password, the amount of Rs. 2 transferred to his account again. I asked him to return the amount but he demanded the information related to the ATM which I was not provided. I have called on the mobile number given in the UPI id i.e. [protected], he refused having any account connected with his number. I have registered a complaint in the cyber cell against this fraud (copy enclosed).
It is requested to take action against this fraud person and return the amount received from me on false information. Was this information helpful? |
