On 18th Dec 2021, Blue Dart was supposed to deliver my HDFC credit card at my permanent address. In all honesty, I've recently moved to a new address few blocks away from my old address which also happens to be my permanent address. The official permanent address change hasn't yet been done and we're in the process of doing it . However, All the documents be it Bank Documents, Aadhaar or PAN clearly mention my phone number and my old address as my permanent address. The delivery person didn't even bother to call me . I live like 5min away from my permanent address, he could have called me and I would have collected it personally with necessary identification documents. Now I see on the blue dart tracking page that my package is marked " C'Nee shifted from the given address " . I asked my uncle and aunt who still live at my permanent address if there was any visit from blue dart delivery person and they said "NO".
I understand there might be certain rules that a delivery person needs to follow but the last time I checked these rules were put into effect to safeguard customer's confidential data and not to harass them. A simple phone call and a mere 5 min waiting would have resolved this issue in no time but the delivery person opted not to deliver it. If I'm personally receiving the card from a particular address with valid ID then why should it matter anyway whether I've shifted from that address or not, even though very recently .
This is just bottom-line customer harassment . Well one thing I learnt today is never to use blue dart ever again and possibly let others know about it as well so that they too can stay away from these unpleasant experience
