Bombay Hospital — refund of excess money | |||
Dear bombay hospital, Ip no : 1910422 Name of patient : mascarenhas maria thomas Date of admission : 27/06/2019 Date of discharge : 01/07/2019 Its been 3 week since my mother has been discharged from the hospital. Every attempt to ask for a refund of my excess money has been answered with polite words like amount will be credited in 3 - 4 days. The communications with the account department is just pathetic or deliberate. I would suggest, like you do with every patient with signing of all the important document before admission, a document for refund of excess money form should also be signed. Here a patient can give his bank details or whatever is required and once a patient is discharged his excess can be immediately refunded. No matter how big or small the refund is, refund is a refund. If a 20% surcharge is what a hospital levies on every bill a similar structure of 20% late charges fees should be made applicable on the hospital if a there is delay in the refund procedure right from the date of discharge. A hospital ensures all its due are paid before a patient is discharged, then why is an excess money with held and we have to beg for our own money. A patient as well the persons attending them are in trauma and then to collect the re - fund for the hospital looks like a herculean task. I demand my refund to be done immediately and a letter of apology should be drafted for the trouble that i had, for asking the money.
