BookMyBai — Issues with replacement and refund

Well the experience started off well. Signed up, shortlisted, interview scheduled to our surprise none from the shortlist came over.

However my mom and my wife liked the candidate who came and we hired her. Things were good until one fine day when she messaged she wont be able to continue the very next day she collected her months salary stating personal reasons.

My mom was ok with the reason because she was a good maid. So i get back to the website pay 1000 so that i can repeat the process. While i waited for a call back, i could resist and i called and spoke to this representative sneha.

To my surprise i was informed that the day our maid left it was 6 months and 3 days which is over the contract period so we will have to pay commission to the next maid who comes in.

My question how do i believe this wont happen again in the 6 months and how is it our fault if someone leaves right after collecting their salary and without any intimation.

O the representative denies any help so i am irritated, i ask for my 1000 refund which is if we done go ahead with any booking. I was sent a link. Shared my bank details its been a week no refund has been initiated. No link to contact these people, most of the time no response by the representative number.

All i was looking for a replacement. Suddenly an experience which was really nice and i had recommended to my friends has gone down the drain.

The contract that you have with BookMyBai is for 6 months and beyond which you can retain the maid if you want to and if the maid wants to. We have not pulled out the maid since we have no reason to do so. We have enough maids to service all our new clients. The maid has completed the 6 months with you and she chose to quit for her own reasons. We cannot force anyone to work. I request you to help me with the logic that why is there a consumer complaint. We have fulfilled our commitment towards the 6 months contract.

As far as the refund of Rs.1000 is concerned, kindly email me your registered contact number at [protected]@bookmybai.com and I will check why was it not done yet if it has not been done yet. Usually the bank take 7 working days to refund the amount once we have initiated it.

I am sure the experience for the past 6 months would have been nice. Request you to kindly take a new contract with us.

the representatives number is continuous switched off. why do i have a feeling that this is a con.

Also the maid worked with you for over 6 months. What makes you think this is a con ??

i did miss the last message from you. i have received my refund in the week of Christmas.

response for your 21st Dec
- i obviously did respond to the email id. mentioned the same day. Did not respond to any of the other points as it would be a difference in opinion.
- representatives number, the only number that we can connect to you. if it goes switched off for 3 days at the time of you following up for a refund. you are going to find things fishy.

a suggestion would be to have a stronger contract in that case. the employee is free to quit when they want to however an intimation of atleast 15 days will help plan a better replacement process.
Registration charges given.no service given.sms sent to that they are refunding money.called many times.operator putting my phone on hold.not refunded money and I have pre mature child so they are making me troubled for my money.i have called them many times but I have not given refund instead putting my phone on hold
I also have faced exactly same experience today, I had booked a baby sitter through book my bai in Nov and today exactly after 6 months and 4 days, bai called and said that she wont be able to come due to some injury. This seems to be ploy by the company to force clients to keep renewing contracts..Horrible service..and this gentleman complaints about bollywood celebrities being unethical and treating maids inhumanly..the way this business is run by him is itself a con process..we trusted maid to the extent that when she went on leave for 10 days we did not approached book my bai believing she will come back, we did not even cut her salary for previous months even when she took 4.5 days leaves in a month instead of promised 2 days...but now she and agency has duped us...i understand Anupan will say that our contract was for 6 months and we are not obligated beyond that...but then you need to advice clients on how often these maids will exactly run away after 6 months..something is definitely fishy..
