[Resolved] BookMyShow — Request refund for failed online ticket booking

I booked 6 tickets for 'shahjahanum parikuttiyum' using bookmyshow.com for pvr, kochi, kerala for 10:00pm show for date 6th july 2016 using icici banking.
After selecting seats and entering my account details, bookmyshow website displayed some message like 'processing...' and after some time, it displayed, 'oops, an error occurred'.
But an amount of rs 966.56 was debited from my account. this transaction was done at around 09:00pm on 5th july 2016.
I waited for around 10 minutes, but i didn't receive any sms or e-mail from book my show for confirmation of tickets but i did receive sms from bank for deduction of money.

Now, after 10 minutes, i tried to book the same 6 seats again and i received sms and mail from book my show this time.

So, basically money for my 1st transaction should be refunded bookmyshow as it didn't handle the transaction properly and deducted amount without booking the seats.

I request a refund of rs 966.56/- from bookmyshow.

Updated by MerinAllen There were 2 transactions done for the same amount on same time. Only one transaction was successful and i got once 6 tickets booked. The next transaction is

Please do the needful to refund whichever trandaction was unsuccessful.

Updated by MerinAllen Inorder to gift my friends with tickets i should have got 12 tickets because same amount was deducted twice from me. Here one transaction failed but the money went. Same seats were available again in Bookmyshow. So i booked again. This time it was successful.

We know this must have caused you trouble. Please accept our apologies for it.

As we thoroughly check the transaction was successful and the SMS and the email was sent to your contact details on time.

Also, the said transaction was confirmed and we being online ticketing aggregates, post the transaction is successful, have zero authority for the said transaction.

We did get this investigated with our technical team and as per the updates received, there was no error on our website/app and bookings were going through swiftly hence, we would be unable to refund the said transaction.

In cases like these, you could opt to gift those tickets to your friends or somebody who'd want to go for that show on your behalf.
