I had booked two tickets on Bookmyshow platform on 27 June 2022 for "Resonance" event organized by Impetus Live LLP.
The event was scheduled on 10 July 2022 in Bangalore with the venue to be confirmed later.
I had purchased two early bird tickets with transaction ID TBAB007N5X5PQA totaling to INR 1732 including convenience fees.
On the day of the event the venue was confirmed to be XU Bangalore. On arrival at the event, we were asked to scan and collect our bookmyshow entry ribbons. However, we were denied entry in the venue despite of having the tickets.
We were asked to pay INR 1000 per head as cover charged (Total INR 2000 for two).
This requirement of cover charge was not mentioned when I had booked the tickets. I feel scammed by bookmyshow team and the event organizers (Impetus Live LLP). We did not agree to pay the cover charge as it was not mentioned while booking the ticket. Also, the cover charge was higher than the ticket price and hence we did not attend the event.
I want my booking amount to be refunded as we were not able to attend the event despite of having the tickets.
