[Resolved]  Bosch Home India — Failure in pump within 50 days of purchase of washing machine

Registered complaint:[protected] We have purchased Bosch front loading washing machine model number WAK20160 from registered vendor, Viveks Limited Chennai and installed on 18th Feb 2015. Within 50 days of purchase an error-18 has occurred in the machine with no water drainage. There has been very minimal use of the machine for the period. The service guy checked and confirmed that there is an issue with the pump and needs a replacement- when questioned on why the pump has failed within such a short period he had indicated that it could be a manufacturing defect on the pump and indicated that the pump will be replaced. Since the product has failed within a 50 day period raises a question and concern on the quality of the product from a trusted brand like Bosch. Though it is covered under the warranty period a replacement of the pump would not be a solution to this.There needs to be an analysis of why the issue has happened and if there are any other malfunctioning parts that could have given rise to this problem. We would require a replacement of the defective washing machine since there is no assurance that there would not be a repeated issue .Kindly look into this and help us on the same.
