Non refund of admission fees

On 26th March 2012, Rs 93660 by cheque were deposited for admission of my 3 kids for the session 2012-13.
Due to sudden unexpected serious family problems at home, admissions were cacelled on 29th March 2012.
School refunded by cheque but only Rs 60660 i.e 11000x3 = Rs 33000 less for admission fees.
This is very painful and not understandable why school should not refund the huge amount Rs 33000 Admission fees.br...
