I had applied for admission to PGP program 2022-24 and accordingly deposited the Offer Acceptance Amount of Rs. 1, 00, 000/- on 27-April-2022. I got a provisional offer admission from IIM Rohtak, but probably I will get an offer from IIM Shillong as well as I am in the waitlist. As of now I want to go with IIM Rohtak but they are telling that my 1 + 3.2 lakh rupees will not be refunded under any circumstance if I request for the withdrawal. I couldn't understand what to do now. However, other IIMs are refunding the amount after deducting 1000/- as the administration charge.

I had taken admission in iim rohtak in the end of june and after that i converted iim indore and was called there for admission. I withdrew one day before the classes started at iim rohtak and joined iim indore tow days before classes started here. Iim rohtak has still not refunded a single penny. Its been three months. I am from a middle class family where my dad works hard to teach his two daughters and one son. We had taken a loan. Iim rohtak administration should realise the fact that it's not that easy for a government teacher to arrange 2.5 lakhs and then just leave it. All my friends who had in similar cases left other new iims and joined iim indore got there refunds. They shouldn't put so many children in such mental harassments. What do they expect? Not to encourage us to seek an opportunity which provides a better institution? I hope the hrd ministry looks into the matter and after deducting some amount instruct them to refund the rest of the amount.
