I have Investments totaling amount 47,000/-, which my father bought from Sterling Tree Magnum in the year 1994.

I have invested in 27 teak trees for RS 1775 EACH in STERLING TREE MAGNUM(INDIA)LTD 15years ago, as dated 30/06/1995...and the maturity was given as 29/06/2015 in the name of my wife and daughter.

it was planted at: THEPPAMPATTI PLANTATION in Andipatti Sub-Registration District, Madurai District...

but i have not received any acknowledgement from the company..i request you to look into this matter and contact us as soon as possible..

Sterling Tree Magnum India Ltd. — No Returns, No correspondence

Sir,
On 11.01.1997, We had purchased 2 trees of Sterling Tree Magnum vide Application No. A159044, Certificate No. P7420 dated 18.09.1997.
The First Interim returns were due on 09.07.2009 & Second Interim Returns were due on 09.07.2009. Till now the company has not sent any correspondence or Returns. The Date of Maturity is 10.01.2017. The letters to company address do not fetch any reply.
What is the course of action for us ?

Dear Srs,

I had bought 11 Teak trees from above company in the year 1997 @ a cost of Rs. 20850/=, vide their Certificate no. Q2347 as per which I was supposed to receive Interim payments in the year 2003 and 2009. No payment has been received till date. Earlier the company used to send its newsletter informing the progress of the project. But since last 8-9 years they have stopped sending even the same. All letters written to their H.O. at Madras have been returned back by Post-office. Later I came to know that SEBI has directed the company to pay back all invetsors, but no paymenst have been received till date.

CHENNAI: The Economic Offences Wing has initiated criminal proceedings against Sterling Tree Magnum (India) Ltd., and Chromepet Saswatha Nidhi Ltd., for not repaying the deposits collected from the public after maturity.

According to a press release, depositors who have not preferred a complaint could contact the office of the Superintendent of Police (EOW-II), C-48, TNHB Complex, third floor, Second Avenue, Anna Nagar, Chennai 600040. We have been duped by the company. My father has bought some teakuity in his 3 childrens name thinking the money will help us in a long run. There has been no correspondence regarding my first interim returns that were due on 30-12-01 and my second interim returns which were due on 30-12-07.

The lack of communication could also be due to my residence address change. I wish to bring to your notice my old address at the time of joining and my new communication address today. please communicate to my new address and let me know the status of the scheme and also my interim returns.

I AM ALSO INVESTED Rs. 10000/- IN STERLING TREE MAGNUM INDIA LTD AND I WAIT FOR MY VALUABLE RETURN.

Dear Sir,
I, Sumant Kumar Jain, have invested for 45 teak trees in 1996 under scheme LOT vide application no. V00931 dated 23.02.1996.
In 2008, the company proposed an option of continuation and I agreed to it without having received the returns I was supposed to in 2002 and 2008. Now, since I have not received any conformation about the proposed scheme, I request you to update me on this matter that was dealt between the court and the company.
If the court has agreed for the proposed option of continuity, then I would like to receive a stay copy/ judgement copy.
I would also like to request you to send me a copy of the list of investors in this plan.

my father purchased 2 teak treesin my name in the year 1994.

we've already applied for the same in written but not received any reply . I request you to consider my problem and please provide your email id or website of the company.

My Father has invested 145750 in 1992 in 100 teak trees. On calling their office they told me that there is an ongoing case in the madras high court and the jusgement will be coming out in 5-6 months time. I was futher told that the judgement would be just asking the company STM to pay the initial amount which we paid them in 1992 without interest or the interim payments or the so called final payment which they offered.
I urge everyone who have invested in STM to not let go of what we should be gettin back. A lakh of rupees was a big amount that time and we should not settle for a mere repayment of our principal amount invested.
They have sister companies which are operating such as sterling resorts etc. Thus we should not let them enjoy on our hard earned money.

Dear Sir,

I had purchased 5 teak trees from Sterling Tree Magnum Ltd, . through their New Delhi office in 1994 and I had the required amount against the same. Later on the company official had sent me a letter asking me to submit the original receipt for refund of my payment. Accordingly I had sent the original receipt to their Madras office but till date I have not received any refund from them.

How can I get my refund from this company. Please advise.

I had invested in 15 trees and got info that the company's assets were frozen and case is going on. In the beginning of this year I contacted an advocate Mr. Gopal Krishnan @[protected]/[protected] through an investor friend of mine and got my invested money back less his (advocate)fees and charges within a short time. The info I got from my sources is Sterling tree magnum is unlikely to honour its committments to its investors. So I decided that something is better than nothing.

I have also invested in STM - 1 tree. It is due by 2012. But I am for the last one year trying to contact them for updating my change of address, all my covers returned by postal authorities as "Address changed", "No such person".

Only today I got the address and phone No. of the company. I informed them my new address and they have also said that they noted. I insisted them for a letter registering my new address but they said it is changed in their system. I dont know whether they will do it or not.
