I am staying in room number 508 of Taj, City Centre 2, Kolkata in room number 508 and the security person at the entry gate misbehaved with us and refused entry for almost 15 minutes... When I entered the hotel and tried to lodge a complaint, I was not given any assistance and told that they had no system of accepting a written complaint.

    This is Meghana Thakkar from Hyderabad.Want to share a strong negative feedback on Taj banjara Hyderabad.

    We had booked a stay at Taj banjara Hyderabad for 10th of July in the name of Mr.Anand Thakkar.

    The room was terrible.There were dead mosquito in the bathtub, curtain springs were broken we could not even put the curtain during our stay.The balcony was full of pigeon ###.We requested for room change but unfortunately they denied.

    Our stay was horrible.We could barely sleep at night.

      We stayed at Taj banjara Hyderabad on 10th of july, the room was all dirty balcony was full of pigeon ###, dead mosquito in the bathtub and curtain springs were broken we could not even put the curtain during our stay.

        We had an agreement to conduct wedding event on 15th of July at Vivanta by taj, Vadodara .Now that is not being honored.

        3 weeks prior to the event we are being informed that the AC is not working.

        Is that really a valid reason?

        We are being asked to shift the event date from 15th to 16th July, which is really absurd.

        How's the AC going to be available on the next day?

        Not only 16th, but 1st of July is also possible?

        This is harassment of the next level!

        Is this the hospitality vivanta/Taj famous for?

        What is our fault? That we paid a hefty sum in advance?

          I have stayed in Taj Mahal Palace from 2nd May to 3rd May. While booking the room there was technical issue and 2 rooms got booked for which I got mail after 5 days so I called the duty manager he asked me to cancel the room and assured me that there won't be any cancellation charges. Now after 20 days on 20/05/2021 The taj mahal palace deducted Rs 5216 and now not even paying attention to my complaint.

            In Covid period we all have been considerate and travel has been so easy to plan and execute. With an infant we had to cancel a plan and the cancellation was done well 2days in advance, however Taj Agra billing team is not ready to reverse and has charged us fully without providing us any services.

              I have stayed in a bunch of Taj hotels including the Taj Mahal Palace and Taj East end in Mumbai, Vivanta Dwarka, Gateway hotel Marine drive Cochin etc and never had such a bad experience than at Vivanta Dal Lake. The views from the hotel is the only real positive I can think off from this hotel.
              1 . I had made my booking via makemytrip and had chosen and paid for all 3 meals and this was confirmed by the hotel front desk on check in time. We had our lunch and dinner via In room Dining as our kid was not well and had mentioned that we had paid meals when we ordered too. We stayed from March 12th to 13th.
              However during checkout I was charged for my lunch and dinner I had in my room and I felt I was cheated big time, however I was in quite a hurry to reach the airport and I didn’t want to spoil my mood and day by getting into a debate, so paid the amount then and there. This is something that’s un acceptable after paying 22k for the room and all 3 meals. I have never had such a problem in any of the Taj hotels I have stayed in. In fact the next time in Vivanta Dwarka, we had our dinner in room even though it was a paid meal and there were not complications.
              2. Some of the staff, especially the ones in the restaurant do not know a thing about customer service. Their attitude was very bad and they were making weir faces, not only at us but to other guests too which is not something we have ever seen in a Taj hotel.
              I want them to refund the money they charged extra + look into what is going on with this hotel in Srinagar and I'm willing to write up as higher up as required to resolve this and get their attention.

                I have stayed at THE GATEWAY TAJ RAMGARH HOTEL on 14th feb to 15 feb

                So at time of check out they gave us few bills which were not signed and neither that facility used by us it was almost 10000/- Charges they asked extra although we dint even used that facility

                Even we have asked for a single water bottle from hotel staff "RITU SINGH " "HEAD OF HOUSE KEEPING '
                She just screamed on us that ### off from property you have checked out, jaipur is just 1 hr far why you need bottle. She also said I will call police for no reason as we were waiting for a bottle to come.
                The behaviour is such unacceptable
                They have defamed us like anything in front of other guest .

                We need a solution for it .
                Very disappointing of Taj property doing this .

                I will review more about such bad behavior

                  Hostile Behaviour of Taj Lake Palace, Udaipur

                  I was staying in Room No.117 of Taj Lake Palace Hotel at Udaipur, Rajasthan. I have left one Blackberry Evolve Phone inside the safe of the room. Navneet of the hotel was kind enough to inform me. At the moment when I got the information from Navneet, I was in Chittorgarh which is 120kms away from the hotel.                   My family booked 2 rooms at tajview-ihcl seleqtions in may 2019, and our date of stay was september 2019. The reservation confirmation email from the hotel had a seemingly innocuous comment: "we will be upgrading our rooms from 1st may till 31st oct 2019 (9.00 a. M. To 6.00 p. M.). We assure you that we have taken all necessary measures to minimize any inconvenience to our guests."
                  With this reassurance from a company as reputed as ihcl, we went ahead with our accommodation. Little did we know that the noise from renovation work would completely spoil our stay. The noise was very loud and very irritating. Despite repeated calls to the front desk, meeting the front desk team in person, and submitting a written complaint, nothing changed much except for a few sporadic moments of silence. The hotel completely failed to live up to its commitment of:
                  1. Taking all necessary measures to minimize inconvenience
                  2. 6pm deadline for the renovation work (The work and the horrible noise went on till dinner time)
                  While checking out, we asked the front desk to compensate us, but they were junior staff and what they could offer was not to our expectation. When we raised the issue later with the gm of the hotel (Mr samir bharadwaj), we received replies that completely misrepresented the facts. Essentially, no effort from him to live up to the written commitment of the hotel, and the customer delight philosophy of ihcl.
                  We are extremely disappointed. Definitely the worst experience we have ever had in any hotel.

                    Last month on dated 31.07.2019 i visited taj hotel delhi, where in i had contacted the restaurant manager (Name jyotiraj) regarding i will be redeeming a taj e gift card to which he said, he will be doing it post having the food. When i presented my e gift he refused to accept it saying it cant be redeemed for food, while gift card terms clearly say that it can be redeemed for food. It was a taj expressions gift card. He didn't cooperate at all and we eventually had to pay by other mode. The gift card was valid till that day only due to which i wasn't able to redeem the same either. Please look into the issue and have an action for the same.

                      It is so very disgusting that I am even writing this that the service at Taj Mahal Mumbai is 3rd grade . THIS IS MY 2ND COMPLIANT FOR THE SAME ISSUE WITHIN A SPAN OF 1 WEEK. I had earlier inquired with Riddhi for the banquet for my wedding on 10th july 2018 and she responded only once and then ignored my calls and mails. After my complaint Mr. Akshay who is the sales Manager called me and apologised on Riddhi's behalf and gave me his cell number I called him once he responded, then I called him 2 times in a span of 3 days and left a msg with him that I want to close the deal, he then responded after 3 days with an SMS at 7.30 in the morning that he will call me in the evening, now it has been 2 days after his msg he not even bothered to call me. We had so much hope that Taj would be the best service but NO TAJ IS ONLY AFTER THOSE NRI AND WHO CAN PROVIDE MORE MONEY. MR RATAN TATA YOUR TAJ SUCKS BIG TIME NO VALUE NO MORAL, SHAME ON THE SERVICE PROVIDED BY AKASHAY AND RIDDHI AT TAJ.

                        My recent sad experience as a taj inner circle member

                        I had renewed my taj inner circle membership [[protected]] on 30th may 2017 by remitting rs. 11164/- [eleven thousand one hundred and sixty-four rupees]. Normally my life is confined to ernakulam, which is my hometown. Usually, i am not in the habit o[censored]sing the privilege vouchers which come with taj epicure card and the kit. Since i had to go to calicut recently i had requested the taj innercircle team to permit me to use the complimentary night stay voucher earmarked for taj marine drive hotel ernakulam, for my upcoming stay at calicut. I had sent an email and along with had sent the original certificate by post to innercircle mumbai for necessary correction.

                        The reply came with a lot of salutary blessings and other well-wishing personal enquiries! The bottom line of the message was that they cannot permit my request since taj calicut, where i wanted to stay was not in the list participating hotels. But when i searched their site i found that it is very much a participating hotel and i emailed them the link lest they missed that information.

                        Then another reply came informing that they are sorry since as per existing rules of the company complimentary night can only be permitted at the city of residence [may be so that nobody will use it!] and not at other properties. Since i remember having seen a change of rule in 2016 regarding this aspect, i searched their site again and found that the rule indeed had changed allowing the stay in other hotels also!

                        I emailed them the necessary information again thinking that they might have missed it. Then a reply came from them apologising for my inconveniences and assuring their best services always. They tried to contact me many times during the day in my registered mobile and all the time my phone was switched off! But there was no mention of any solution for my problem!

                        Then it was i who contacted them over the phone on 06.04.2017 to mumbai. I was kept on hold due to the large volume of telephone calls, at least for 10 minutes before somebody came online. He admitted that the rule now stands changed. But my coupon was printed earlier and hence cannot be amended! I suggested to him to consult any of his superiors and solve the issue. To this, he kept me on hold for 15 minutes to consult his superior. Then he informed me that he was consulting with his superior in the hope of finding out a solution to my problem. But in spite of their best efforts actually, there are no solutions to my problem. But he wanted me to talk with his supervisor directly. For this, he kept me on hold for another 10 minutes to get connected to his supervisor as she was talking to somebody else. At end of this 10 minutes, his supervisor (A lady) came over the phone and congratulated me for my patience and tenacity. She really appreciated that and assured me all the help and assistance from her side. But regarding this issue, she cannot do anything as her system won’t permit any amendment as my coupon was printed earlier. Then i told her that my original coupon is now with taj, since i had sent it for amendment and that she can amend it manually also in her official capacity and return it back. Then she enquired to which address i had sent the coupon and kept me on hold for another 20 minutes. At the end, she informed me that somehow the original coupon shall be mailed back but she cannot do anything in this matter. She had also consulted her superior who also agreed with her views. At this point, i thanked her for all the niceties and assurances of future help and disconnected the phone.

                        Then i made a personal decision not to renew my taj inner circle membership in the month of may 2017 when it becomes due for renewal! Thanks to you all!

                          Bad service and threatened me to sign a paper so they are safe

                          we stayrd at the gateway surat, a beautiful property, as a part of the wedding party. On the last day, before checkout, we sent three cartons of mangoes to out room (no. 532) with the bellboy. the same was not found when we returned to our room in the evening. This incident took place on the 6th of may. Till date NO ACTION has been taken. thanks

                              Wrong declaration to General Public

                              Greetings of the day!!



                              The below mail is absolutely false claim made by the taj Hotels. I am in Mumbai and did visit The Taj Lands End yesterday (Sunday) with my family and was shocked to see NO large screen at the mentioned outlet. I was advised to visit the coffee shop where the manager Mr. Leo was rigid in claiming that he has read the mail that is below and that he can’t extend the offer at the coffee...
