Dear Sir,
I had availed a credit facility through a BYJU’S representative for purchasing a coaching program for my daughter for Classes 11 and 12 in 2022, amounting to approximately ₹1, 20, 000. At the time of enrollment, the BYJU’S representative informed us that the amount would be repayable within 12 months. However, no written agreement, loan document, repayment schedule, or any official proof regarding this credit facility was provided to us.
We only shared my bank account details, Aadhaar Card, PAN Card, and paid a registration fee of ₹5, 000. In return, we did not receive any formal document or copy of the agreement related to this credit facility.
The BYJU’S representative had also assured us that if my daughter was not comfortable with the coaching program, we could discontinue the program at any time, and the deductions from my account would stop from the following month.
Within approximately 1.5 months of enrollment, we informed the same representative that my daughter was unable to understand the coaching content properly and requested discontinuation of the program. At that time, he informed us that we would need to pay a minimum of three month installments, after which the program and related deductions would be discontinued.
So far, I have already paid ₹58, 335, which is equivalent to approximately five monthly installments. Despite this, the credit facility remains active. I have stopped maintaining sufficient balance in my account to avoid further deductions. However, due to the continued active status of this facility, my CIBIL score is being adversely affected.
Therefore, I sincerely request you to kindly close this credit facility immediately and update the records accordingly.
Loan was provided through SMFG India Credit. I don't have loan account number. My mobile number is [REDACTED_PHONE] and my mail id is [REDACTED_EMAIL]
