I sold my car - Hyundai VERNA to CARS24 on 23rd December 2021 for which 17500 INR was withheld out of the total cost communicated to me by the buying company.
The reason for amount block was Party Peshi (10000 INR to be received after signing at RTO for car transfer) & 2 Challans (2000 INR each) - 4000 approx.
Although the total amount was adds up to 14000 only yet they made some excuse to make it 17500 but promised me to be having the whole amount after party peshi (they promised to give me a notification 15 days before party peshi date)
Apart from this no other information was shared with me.
I got a call on 16th of february 2022; just 4/5 days before. It was not possible for me to attend at such a short notice so I requested for another date along with my pending payment.
I continuously tried to contact them for the pending payment & all the time it was mentioned that they have escalated my complaint internally for the pending payment. No other information was provided by the company representatives.
Today I got a message that they have transferred the car to another customer without party peshi / my signatures & challan clearance (which they were insisting since start that pending payment can be done only after party peshi). I called the customer care & got to know that no full payment of 10000 will be refunded as I could not go the Party Peshi & only 5000 INR could be refunded. This information was never shared with me in the past by any of the representative.
They have blocked the pending 5000 INR.
For challan of 4000 INR, they blocked 7500 INR & informed me that as soon as the challans are paid by me they will refund the amount. I paid the online challan of 2000 INR & another Court challan I promised them to pay by myself yesterday itself on a call with their representative TRISHA.
Today I got the message that the car has been transferred onto another customer name & I will not be getting the pending amount because I am late to clear the challan & I was supposed to clear the Challans within 10 days. Yesterday on call with the customer care TRISHA, no mention of 10 days policy payment was ever mentioned.
7000 INR was deposited in my account after yesterday so many complaints & discussions with customer care.
Even today when I called the representative Rajnish disconnected the call & did not call back.
10000 INR amount has still not been paid to me.
