Carzonrent — Not Refunding Security Deposit | |||||
We rented a car from CarZonRent company - Myles Car on July 11, 2016. We paid Rs 800 for one day rent and booked i20 Grand. Additionally, we paid Rs 5000 as security deposit amount supposed to be returned after returning the car. On the morning of July 11, 2016, the company delivered the car to the agreed upon location but the car did not have a rear view mirror. I told them that I cannot drive the car without rear view mirror. They provided us a lower tier car instead - i10 Grand which has a lower rent. We took that car anyways, but on the way, the car broke. We called the customer care and the vendor and reported that car is broken and told about our location. They told us to leave the car at the location. We had to take a cab from that location back to home. They towed away the car on Wednesday morning from that location. After about a week, they told us that they are charging us for repairing the car and will not refund our security deposit. They said that the clutch plate broke and they are charging us for the repairs. The clutch plate was already worn and it's not possible that it could have been broken by us. They provided us an old car which was not in drivable condition and had worn out parts. They should refund our security deposit, rental amount and the cab cost from drop off location to our home. Same thing happened with me and they are not returning my remaining days rental. Name should be changed to lootingpeopleoncars.com rather than carzonrent. :)
