Respected Sir/Madam,
My son, Yuvraj Jhanwar who studied in Lakshmipat Singhania Academy, Kolkata, until Xth standard just got his board results on the 3rd of Aug’21, scoring 97.2%. In his Pre-Board-1 he had scored 97.72% and in Pre-Board-2 he had scored 98.4% based on weightages given by the school (report cards for Xth std, and final report card of IXth std attached). After getting a full score in subjects like IT and a close to perfect score in SSc, he has been awarded with 98 and 97 marks, respectively, which is absolutely out of our understanding. Other students who had a lesser score throughout, have received higher marks in different subjects. We are unable to understand how a student with a track record of getting higher marks in every exam, lands up getting a lower percentile in the final mark sheet. My Son had been in Lakshmipat Singhania Academy since Pre-School-1, i.e., 12 years. But he decided to leave Lakshmipat Singhania Academy for better prospects as per his choice and got admission in Calcutta International School in March’21. This fact shouldn’t go against him & reflect negatively on his marking.
Based on his internal performance, it was a proud moment for us that he was also selected in the prestigious DPS RK Puram, Delhi (screen shot of the invitation attached). We finally opted for Calcutta International School, Kolkata, as Yuvraj wanted to pursue IB and was showing interest to study abroad after class XIIth.
I humbly request you to check attached results and analyse his final percentage. At this tender age, we as parents, do not want him to lose his trust in the education system by being under marked, by not getting what he deserves. It will definitely haunt him for the rest of his life since his resume will always have this score engraved on it.
Seeking justification, we seek your intervention for fair analysis of his final percentage after studying all the scores in the attachment.
Should you need any further information, we would be happy to provide the same.
In anticipation
Yours Sincerely,
Vivek Jhanwar
