Chevrolet India — Worst Service by Sundaram Service Chennai with my Cruze | |||
Hello, Am writing this on behalf of my worst every experience with my Chevy Cruze service with no permanent solution yet. 3 months back i got a cruze (Second hand) and i thought of having a general checkup before using it on a regular basis, so i reached the nearby Sundaram motors for servicing. Upon reaching the service center i meet a service executive named Sudharsan and after seeing the car, he said we have to change the timing belt of the r which would cost us around 60, 000 INR and we also agreed to do so. Apart from this he said the disk shoes and other things are also needed to be changed with an estimation of overall 80, 000 INR. Moreover he asked us to pay a down payment of 25% of the estimated amount, which made us literally angry because as if we are not worth of paying the service amount which they estimated also we haven't experienced such a disrespectful situation before with our other car's which we own except this one. after a weeks’ time we got a call from service center stating our car is ready for delivery and after going they we have been informed by the executive that after opening up the car engine they came to know that it had a timing chain and not a timing belt, I can't understand this because even the engineers are not worthy to even know the car specification without opening up coz once a product is opened it won't be the same again. After all we paid an amount of overall 40, 000 for changing the fans and brake shoes and other stuff which weren't clear to us and note: They didn't which change the engine oil and others general filter changes coz we where been informed that general service can be done after 3 months’ time and we paid 40, 000 INR and came back. Within another month we got the service lamp glowing again and again the same routine began by taking my car to the service center and then got checked with the same executive but this time they said we need to go for the general changes like engine oil and other filter and we too agreed coz it's a basis which we do with all cars usual. After 3 days when we went to get the car back they said the general service was done and also they said the car has a weak clutch and gearbox flywheel which can be used for a while but it might wear out soon, which gave us a shock because i have been using Toyota and Ford brands and i never came across a situation where the timing beat, clutch and flywheel getting repair within 80, 000 KM and i never expected such quality from Chevrolet after using many cars from Chevy in my past. Again we paid around 36, 000 INR for the same and said once we face a problem we will get it done with the clutch and other things which we have been notified. After using my car for another two days we came across an issue with the driver door passive unlock system and when we informed the executive about this, he said the sensor within the door must have got repaired and we have to go for a replacement and at that time by warranty has also got expired and so we asked him to place an order for the sensor. after a weeks’ time i got the check engine and service lamp both blinking while am on a long journey and we had no clue what to do and somehow managed to reach our destination with speeds less than 60KM and next day we went to the service center and this time they said we need pay some amount for checking the entire wiring system coz they was a some water under the matt which is why we have been notified with the lamps in info display. We had no choice but to agree with that and took the car after two weeks’ time and paid 13, 000INR. After the above incident we got the same problem with the service lamp glowing again...This time when we called the executive and informed about the issue, he said it might be because of the door sensor, so asked us to wait until the door sensor reaches the stock and also he said that we can look into the service lamp issue also after the door sensor comes in and meanwhile asked us to use the car as usual and we waited for 3 months and finally we got tired of calling and asking the status of the sensor and then we called and asked the executive to check with the service lamp issue. So we asked us to come with the car and we went there and waited for 5 hours and still no answers on the lamp light issue or the door and when i went near the car i could see my car bonnet got opened and they were doing something and when i enquired about the door to one of the engineers, a guy came from nowhere and said the sensor is available to install and so we informed the executive about this and asked to install the sensor coz this is taking more days and also we can't come each and every time for one or the other issue. Me, my brother and Dad where clueless that to get a spare will it takes months and in this case this is just a small issue and if we have a major issue i believe we have to forgot about our car after leaving it to the service center. Next day we went to service center to take the car and when we meet the executive he said the sensor got replaced and it will cost us 6, 600 INR and asked us to wait for the bill. Meanwhile i reached the executive and asked about the bill details and then he came with a bill and this time he gave us a new shocking news stating the service lamp issue seems to be an fuel injection issue and we have placed an order for the same and it comes around 40, 000INR. However the executive said he asked to reset the service lamp for meantime and he said if the service lamp issue comes again i need to replace the fuel injected this time. I got really angry this time and i was not ready to take my car back until i get a solution for this and so i asked the executive to call the manager and no one showed up, which even made me more angry and scared that if i leave my car here and come next day, they might even change the entire good spares with old ones and rob me even more. I just can't take it anymore coz If a customer leaves his/her car behind a service center with trust the only job of the service center is to fix the issue and not to create new issues but here whenever i have a visit to this pathetic service center i have been informed with new issues and charge us even more without a solution. If it keeps on going i need to finally get a new engine replaced for the car to overcome all the problems. Almost i spend 1 laks runpees within 3 months and the my most visit's would be to the service center and still the issue which i meant is still continuing without an end. I have been using Travera, Beat from Chevrolet and other brands like Toyota and ford and i never expect a cheap quality and worst reliability product rather than Chevrlot. I Couldn't believe that a global company is using such cheap products, misusing customers and robbing they earned income in the name of service. I would never ever suggest someone to buy a Chevrolet product ever. Was this information helpful? | |||
