I went to Cinepolis (Lake Mall) Kolkata with my family on February 8, 2023 to watch the Projapoti film 7:20 pm show.
The person at the booking counter first presented me with the QR scanner which I scanned to make a payment of Rs. 640 through Google Pay for 4 seats. As the payment was taking time probably due to the server or network delay, the executive asked me to pay via any other mode. I then chose to pay via credit card which was successful.
After a few seconds the google pay payment also got successful (while I was already at the counter) resulting in two times payment of Rs. 640, 1 via Google pay and other via credit card.
I spoke to the manager there named Mr. Sauptik and he assured me the payment would be reversed in 24 hours. He also raised a complaint on his phone within the cinepolis staff application, took the screenshot of the G-Pay transaction and said the process will be expedited as he has raised it in the staff application.
It is already 13 Feb today and I have not received the refund on the payment made via Google Pay for 640 Rs.
