Club Mahindra Holidays — degradation in the service/ amenities provided as well as cheating members in the name of policies

We have been club Mahindra members for about 12 yrs or so and upto a last couple of years we have been very happy with the service & amenities provided.

But Since the past year we have been facing problem in lot of aspects

Issue no.1 : Bookings available through agents to a non member but not available through the website to members.

We don't get booking for the properties even if we book on day 1 in the first few hours. But at the same time when we book through agents the same property is available for the same dates.

To elaborate on the issue there are many agents who give out bookings for the same property for rs 3000 to 5000 a night . We being members I believe should have the first right to bookings instead of guests of such agents . We have paid a huge amount as membership fees and also pay yearly ASF charges. But instead it's the non members who get the benifit out of the same by getting instant bookings for any property of course at charge but then whats the whole point of the membership fees we paid.

On complaining the same to club Mahindra, the staff back answered saying collate and give us numbers of such agents. Is that our job really?

Issue no.2 Services/Amenities of the club Mahindra holidays degrading

Issues faced at Trip mahabaleshwar

We recently booked mahabaleshwar club Mahindra to celebrate our anniversary in May where in we clearly asked for 2 studios since there were 4 adults which according to the so called policies wat not accepted by the bookings team

We accepted the same even though unhappy about such a policy, if you travel are you always expected to travel as a 2 members only? Does club Mahindra propagate travelling only for a couple ? When usually in our country it's a usual practice to travel with friends and family!

but when we reached there we only realised the room had several issues ..

1) the bathroom was only attached to the bedroom, there were four adults members who had to stay in one BR room, then how can one logically be given a room which has a bathroom attached to the bedroom. This defys the common sense to be applied which assigning rooms.

2) the living room dint have AC. Usually if the climate was good we would have not bothered, but in this heat how does it work out to.be comfortable, u cant expect every one to manage sitting in the bedroom. And how do u even manage sleeping at night without for the adults who's sleep outside?

3) the living room dint have tv, instead the same was in the bedroom

One would usually expect to sit in the living room and watch TV together , it's not comfortable sitting in the bedroom for 4 adults to watch tv.

I really don't understand whether any thoughts go behind deciding on which room is alloted to which guest. At the same time i[censored] are expecting 4 guests to stay in together in a one BR then isn't ac required in the living room?

Also on the second day we had been informed that we would get an extra room by 11.30 am which we instead received at 6 in the evening only after getting annoyed . Very shocked to see this kind of casual attitude we don't have any interest in getting things done after raising our voices . Vacations are meant to be pleasant and happy. But here it's more about managing things spoilt and given to us.

On the third day we were informed we mite have to change our room again, to which we got really upset and had to raise our voice about it.. and so then somehow we dint receive a call to change the room. But every day managing and talking to the staff only spoils the mood of the trip.

We wrote a mail from.the resort which the staff responded after 10 days saying ur feedback will be taken in to considereration. But no calls to discuss and to make up for the difficulty faced at the resort.

Issues faced at club Mahindra mashobra

This is by far the worst club Mahindra property we have visited. Infact this does not fall in the standards set by the club Mahindra holidays.

I would list down the main issue now-
Before I checked in I had called at least twice to confirm I get a good view room. I was given a room on the ground floor, yes it was valley view but from where all we could we could see was the cars parked and few trees. To top it all there were no windows very low ceilings and a typical odour which was very irritable to tolerate. Any ways since we had planned we to travel to Shimla for the day we asked the reception staff to change our room to a better view room.

On returning back in the evening we were given one more room on a half floor above the floor already given before again a valley view but all we could again see was the cars parked and a few trees. We were so tired we just accepted what we were given.
But after 15 minutes I realised the AC was not working and I was feeling extremely claustrophobic, later to realise since the AC dint work and there were these really small windows and low ceilings and the same irritable smell which made me feel really claustrophobic.

So although extremely tired I went down to check other available rooms, out of which I finally shifted into a hotel unit although I paid for a studio unit which at least dint have tht irritable smell and low ceilings again only to realise that the AC s don't work here either. Supposedly there is No ac in this resort since supposedly the temperatures are pretty low on a day to day basis. But when we reached there it was quite hot and hence We had to use two fans so we don't feel suffocated in the room.

This was about the initial experience we faced, but even if we forget the inconveniences we are facing in the room. This property does not qualify by any means upto club Mahindra standards.

We have visited several properties till yet and none have been so pathetic .there is no vibe of club Mahindra in this resort. The property ends where it starts, some of the reception staff are rude. the quality of the amenities in the room is par below standards. ( Special mention to the dirty uncleant dustbins in the room)

. Is that what we are paying for. ? It's a shame to say that club Mahindra quality has degraded to a another level. We spend our hard earned money to have a good trip and is this what we get ?

On the very first night we wrote a complain mail to club Mahindra, but it has been 15 days that we have not even received a revert leave alone a call apologizing or making up for the genuine difficulty faced at the resort

I am growing tired of making complaints which are unheard or rather turned a blind eye to. It's very sad that after all these mails that I send to club Mahindra holidays they have not even cared enough to revert or call back leave alone help us resolve the issue.

I[censored] ask about returning back the membership we are told that as per their so called policies all we are eligible to receive a maximum sum of few thousands which would surely not exceed the last ASF charges paid by us. Its such a shame that club Mahindra is thugging us after paying a sum as expected by them.

We don't intend to make such complains but since a past few times the problems faced by us has compelled us to write to the consumer complain forum.
Hope this helps find us a solution for every penny we spend we believe in making it worth while and this to us seems a clear waste.
