[Resolved]  Club Mahindra Holidays — Discrepancies in Club Mahindra Membership Benefits

I am writing this as a concerned member of Club Mahindra regarding benefits extended to Club Mahindra members compared to non-members. My intention is to address a pressing concern with the hope that it will lead to improvements in the membership experience.

I recently made a reservation at the "Ashtamudi, Kollam" resort for a 2-day stay with accommodation for 3 adults. As a dedicated member of Club Mahindra, I utilized 281 points from my accumulated balance. Under the terms of my membership, I am entitled to receive 600 points annually for a period of three years, resulting in a total of 1800 points. This membership was secured with an initial payment of Rs. 37, 500, accompanied by a commitment to 12 monthly instalments of Rs. 7, 576, bringing the overall cost to a substantial sum of Rs. 1, 28, 412.

It has come to my notice that the same room, on the same date, was made available to the general public through various hotel booking sites at a daily rate of Rs. 7, 287, which includes complimentary breakfast. Regrettably, I was disheartened to discover that the room I booked did not include complimentary breakfast. This stark contrast in benefits and pricing despite of my significant investment into the membership prompts concerns about the ethical nature of the business practices involved.

Difference in Room Cost : 35, 055.00
Cost of B'Fast (Approximately Rs.700 + GST) x 12.81 Days x 03 Persons : 27, 573.00
Total Benefit to a Non-Member / Loss to Club Mahindra Member (Approximately) : 62, 628.00

This disparity raises important questions about the value proposition of Club Mahindra membership. It is only reasonable for members to expect more favourable treatment and greater benefits, especially when compared to non-members. The scenario outlined above highlights a situation where non-members are enjoying a significantly lower cost for the same room, while also receiving additional perks that members are not provided.

Given the considerable financial investment I have made into Club Mahindra membership; I believe it is fair to request adequate compensation for the shortcomings in the provided benefits. The discrepancy in pricing and amenities is a matter that needs immediate attention, and I encourage the management to assess and rectify this issue promptly. Such inconsistencies not only tarnish the reputation of Club Mahindra but also diminish the trust and loyalty of its members. I firmly believe that addressing this issue will foster goodwill among the members and reinforce the ethical standards that Club Mahindra upholds. I am hopeful that the management will take the necessary steps to address this discrepancy and maintain the integrity of Club Mahindra's offerings.
