Club Mahindra Holidays — Mis-selling by club mahindra holidays

I'm amazed at the games club mahindra and its staff are playing with me. This is a clear example of daylight robbery!

While appended is one of my mails sent to club mahindra employees viz - roma balwani, their investors email id, their communications team, etc.

In a nut shell, the group has fooled and duped me and now my ask is to give me my entire sum of inr 3lacs back to me.

Please note, i would not be entertaining any more phone calls enquiring about what happened, etc as i have explained this already to all your staff members i've spoken to so far - preeti, lalit and aravindan. I do not want any more convincing to continue with this membership.

I need a solution now!!! I need my money back!!

I'm literally fed up of writing in to you all at various email ids asking for justice!

I've been chasing your team since over a year now to resolve my complaint... Refund my money and close the membership. While we are far from having resolved this complaint, i'm shocked to have discovered that my membership has been cancelled without any resolution to my complaints and no refund being made. Not only this, but your team has been absolutely reckless and have not even bothered to inform me about having closed my membership. I do understand that i had asked for this cancellation but before that i had asked for my money to be refunded to me... That has not happened and my membership closed without informing me. I discover this only when one of your executives mr aravindan called me today at around 8:45pm and that was a call because of my post against this cheating by club mahindra, in the social media.

I demand my money back as that is rightfully mine!

I'm detailing my case below for your perusal:

I signed up for membership with club mahindra holidays in 2013. At the time of signing up itself i told them that i would want someone to plan my entire holiday for me and hence if theirs was only hotel booking and that too online, then i would not be interested in their membership. However, at that time they confirmed that club mahindra would help with my entire travel itinerary.In fact, they also stated that they have a team which would also help me with hotel options in locations where they don't have their own resorts. I was told to refer to their book called 'the big book of holidays' and then get in touch with their team who would help customise a holiday for me.
Not once did i realise that i was entering into their maze of false promises!
My plight began when i wanted to start using this membership and so i approached their member relations team to help with a holiday plan for me and my family.

Since mid august 2014 to october 2014 i struggled with club mahindra for assistance with travel bookings.
1. First i was told booking cannot be done so early for december
2. When i reached out in september and asked their agent to send me the details on mail, i'm told they are not permitted to send mails. I'm a working person and cannot spend time during my working hours discussing a holiday plan.
3. Somehow i convinced her to send the details on mail... But what she sent i could not access since the files she sent were in a non readable format.
4. I requested her to send the same to me as a word document, so that i can read it but she simply refused!
5. I told her to close the membership cause it was of no use to me if the club mahindra staff are so uncourteous and cannot help. I wasted over 3lacs of rupees in paying the installments and down payments and hvnt used a single holiday! But it all falls on deaf ears!
6. I reached out to lalit at their outlet in the atria mall from where i had purchased this membership and asked him to get this cancelled. He said i could go ahead and cancel but i would not get any refund. This is their attitude cause they have completely cornered the consumer.In any case, i thought i'll still give them one more chance, so i told him to fix this for me and help me organise my trip. Most places i asked for i was told i cannot a avail of the booking or there was some problem or the other. So i changed ny plans and gave him alternate options to get the details for me and also to let me know how many more installments are left to be paid and what would i get if i wanted to cancel this membership. He told me he would find th details and get back to me by 8sep14. After that meeting with lalit on 6th september, i did not hear from him. Neither did he call nor did he answer my repeated calls! Someone from his outlet told me that he was busy with family emergency. While i can understand personal exigencies, it was frustrating that they did not take the responsibility of getting somebody else from the team to take care of this.
7. Again i wrote and called club mahindra and then i'm called and told i won't get bookings in locations i was looking for as club mahindra didn't have hotels in those locations.
8. At the time of taking this membership i was told that even if there is a one of location where club mahindra didn't have a resort, their team would still give us alternate options... But none of this happened. As a result, i had to finally book my travel through another travel agent. What is the point in paying a membership instalment to club mahindra when i can ultimately not use it because of inefficient staff at club mahindra!
9. Now since september 2014 i have been struggling with them to cancel this membership and refund my money as i have not made use of their membership. However, they are troubling me with this too. Despite me clearly asking them to stop the emis and debiting my card account, my account still got debited in october 2014 when i again wrote to them! This is cheating on part of club mahindra!

One ms preeti met me on this issue sometime last year and because i refused to retain the membership, she was very rude! I've been writing to her and one ms roma at club mahindra but to no avail. Preeti keeps writing back stating i should rethink about cancelling this membership as they will not refund any money. She and lalit visited my place this month too and even before this meeting i told them that we should meet only if they are going to refund the money to me. However, after this meeting too i get a mail from preeti stating that they will not refund the money. Even for the meeting they rescheduled it by delaying it for an hour and then coming late by another 45mins. During the meeting too lalit and preeti started arguing amongst themselves on who to blame at club mahindra for messing this up for me! This whole episode indicates how club mahindra is not interested in keeping its customers happy. They don't believe in treating customers fairly but are only concerned about how to continue fooling people and making money out o[censored]s! In fact, preeti has even stopped responding to my mails!

At the time of selling the membership to me, i was given a very glorious picture. I was told that i would be helped in planning my entire holiday. I was then asked to upgrade to red studio so that i can avail of the facilities in december which is peak season. I was told that i can take guests with me too, only that my no. Of nights would be reduced basis the extra person joining in. But all of these are false promises. When i go to plan the holiday, i'm told they can't help in planning an entire holiday, i cannot get bookings in their hotels at some locations, i cannot take more than 3 people (Including me) when i had clearly enquired at the time of signing up if i can take 5 people along with me. So basically club mahindra has fooled me into buying this membership and now are giving me mental stress and trauma by not refunding my hard earned money to me!

My ask from club mahindra is to refund all the amount i have paid so far to club mahindra, cause i have not used your membership at all.

My decision to cancel the membership has been only since club mahindra has not been able to handle my request, and more so because of their pathetic don't care attitude. But this too is a nightmare as they keep saying that as per their policy, they don't refund and i can understand that but here i am troubled and harassed by the club mahindra staff and hence the decision to cancel. How can a company hold its consumers to ransom like this!! To make matters worse and prove that they don't care about their customers once they've duped us of our hard earned money, they've now cancelled my membership without even having confirming this to me!!

I request you to please urgently look into this and help me get my money back.

It's been almost 5 years and this still remains unresolved. Club Mahindra is still sitting with my hard earned money!
