[Resolved]  Acer Aspire One Laptop — faulty lcd

i bought acer mini 10 inch, model aspire one on 3rd july 2010. since sept 2010 i witnessed a problem in the display of the netpad. due to nature of my work and unavoidable cicumstances i register my complain in last week of march 2011. i was told that there is problem in the display(l.e.d) of the netpad.after 10 days the service centre at muzaffarpur bihar has changed the l.e.d of the netpad. but again in the month of june i experienced the same problem, and register my complain through Jain computers teensukhia, assam. this time the old problem of display was there and battery was also not giving adequate back up. when i got my netpad on 2 of july 2011. but again after a week the same problem of display popped up and now its checking my patience. i request to please take adequate and immediate action and ensure permanent remedy of this problem.

Acer Aspire one laptop — Operating system

I purchased a Acer Aspire one Laptop with original Windows XP Operating system. I had to pay extra for the same. But recently my system crashed and i lost all data. So I contacted Acer for the OS Cd so that i can install it myself . They said i have to bring my laptop to the service centre. I told them this is a licensced OS in my name and i have paid for it so why cant i get a copy but they refused to send the OS cds. I even told them i will bear the courier expenses.I requested them as i was not able to visit the service centre because of my busy work schedule and extensive travelling.

Acer — FAULTY LAPTOP

Dear Sirs,

It is with deep anguish that I have to place this matter before your good selves. I had purchased an Acer Travel Mate (Serial NoLXTQ20C0048309F3C2000) on 11th May 2009 from Croma at Malad. A copy of the bill is attached for your reference. However, from day one the lap top has been giving me problems. After switching on the lap top, the screen would light up and there would be no further action. After switching the lap top on/off a couple of times it would finally start. Accordingly, I called up your help line and registered my complaint (Case No[protected] on 30.06.09. I was advised to bring the lap top to your service center at Andheri (east) to enable them to rectify the same. After a couple of days I received an sms stating that the lap top was ready and the same may be collected. I collected the same but to my dismay after a few days the problem resurfaced.

Once again I followed the above process and my case was reopened. I was informed by your service center that they would require to change the display and hence would take a minimum of 15 days for completion.

I am absolutely amazed as to how such a defective piece passed your quality checks especially in the view of you being one of the best known names in the business. This defect has made me take leave just to hand over and collect the lap top. Further, this has put me into so much of an ordeal that I had to borrow a machine to complete my various tasks. Despite your assurances I am not all convinced that this issue will be rectified and till then I have to make alternate arrangements so as to carry on my daily routine tasks.

In the light of the above I request you to do the following

1) Replace the machine with a new one
2) Refund my entire amount.

In case I do not get a suitable reply by 10th August 5, 2009 I would be forced to take up this matter with the Consumer Forum.

I had purchased an Acer D-725 (Serial NoLXN440C047936BF8622200) on 23rd October 2009 from M2K INFOTEK at Dhanbad (Jharkhand). Bill no. is M2K/945. However, from last 15 day the lap top has been giving me problems in its DVD ROM. DVD ROM is not working properly.

I am absolutely amazed as to how such a defective piece passed your quality checks especially in the view of you being one of the best known names in the business. This defect has made me take leave just to hand over and collect the lap top. Further, this has put me into so much of an ordeal that I had to borrow a machine to complete my various tasks.
