My son had given his Laptop Model No. Aspire 4736 to Vashi (New Mumba) Service Centre for replacement of the defective LCD Screen on 5.12.09 and paid Rs.9,500/- towards the full cost of LCD screen.The service centre had promised to return back the laptop with new LCD screen within 21 days time. However, since then more than one month's time has elapsed but the LCD part has still to be received by Acer Vashi Service Centre. Inspite of regular follow up with their Vashi service centre and Andheri office, there is total uncertainty as to when they will receive the part. The response and the service is really pathetic. If Acer has a problem in getting its own laptop parts, then why they are selling the product in Indian market? The studies of my son are affected due to this and Acer people are not able to understand the urgent need of the same. At the first place Acer sold a defective product, LCD screen of which developed problem within 4-5 months of its use. Secondly, inspite of charging the full cost of the same in advance, they are not able to deliver the Laptop. Such type of attitude by a international brand towards its customers is unwarranted and a strict action is required to be initiated against them and they should pay the penalty for the delays in service delivery as well as causing loss of studies to a student.
