[Resolved]  Agarwal Packers & Movers — Theft in the consignment

Hi,

On 05th Feb 2012, we hired the services of the co. for moving from Bangalore to Mumbai.
Consignement Number 1888. On 08th March ,we received our items. Since I was still in Bangalore my husband wrote on the papers "all item received" . It took almost 4 days for me to reach Mumbai from the time we recieved items and to unpack those boxes as I did the unpacking on 12th of Feb 2012. Then we realised that most of my personal items like a Tommy Hilfigher Watch worth 10,000, My Hogo Boss perfume worth 5,000, my external CD Drive worth 3500 were missing and I had packed few LP brand shirts for my Husband as it was his birthday and those 5 shirts worth 12,500 were also missing.we phoned at Deepak Ahgarwal who was the supervisor regarding this and complaint about this. The response was that "since u wrote that all items are received, so nothing can be done now." My husband in anger scolded them and after that Deepak stopped picking the calls till evening. In the evening Sonu who is also Deepak's brother and who was present at the time of packing picked the call. He very much saw the items and was there when each item was packed. and he agrees that he saw all the above mentioned items packed. But when the unpacking was done only the outer box of watch perfume and cd drive was present and inner contents are missing. The gift wrapped box was completely missing. Deepak tells me there is no negative points from their end and I can't do anything about it. He openly tells that I can't do anything as we have signed the recieved items and it's been 3 days since we unpacked things after we got the items and we had no insurance done for all the items he also threatens me on I can go to anywhere I want to.

He also did not provide his manager's number stating that he would not provide anyone's number and I can do what ever I want to?

Is this the way one heaves with customers. I really don't know on why I chose Agarwal movers and packers leaving all the others? I have lost things worth of 30,000. Who can I approachh so that I can get these things back?

Please suggest me how can I get my things back or where I can lodge a complaint regarding them?

The bill number is 1637. Please please someone help me regarding these fraudsters.
