[Resolved]  Agarwal Packers & Movers — Non settlement against insured goods damaged during transit

Sub : Regard mishandling of household goods booked from Kolkata Vide GC no.4003187 & 4003188


This is to inform you that the above consignment was booked by self from Kolkata to Mumabi on 20th May’09 vide the consignment no. mentioned above. On receipt of the same it was sad to notice that most of the cartons were damaged and the same was immediately informed to their Mumabi as well as Kolkata office. Upon unpacking following goods were found in damaged condition and the same have been certified by their supervisor.
Approx. Cost
1. 3 plates and one serving bowel of the dining set were broken. :Rs. 800.00
2. 8 borosil glasses and serving dishes were broken :Rs. 800.00
3 pcs of table tea table glasses were broken :Rs.500.00
4. All show pieces were either broken or partially damaged :Rs.1000.00
5. One window A/c Gas pipe connecting to the condenser coil was
broken leading to total gas leakage & complete damage of the AC unit. :Rs.10, 000.00
6. Amplifier cord of the CAR broken at the connecting end of Woofer. :Rs.2800.00
7. Front left side Mud flap and the front bumper of the car found broken. :Rs. 5000.00
8. Refrigerator not working :Rs.7500.00

After several reminders over phone & email their insurance surveyer appeared almost after 4 weeks i.e on 20th June’09 and taken a note of all the thing after having physical verification of the same. Since then I have been in continuous touch with them for the settlement, but all my efforts gone in to vain and now it seems they are not in a mood to settle the claims. I request you to kindly register a complaint and do the needful.
