[Resolved] Agarwal Packers & Movers Ltd. — Company is not interested in paying the damaged furniture cost during shifting | |||
Dear Sir, I would like to complaint that my household was booked with G.C No. 776330 dated 03/04/2012 from Ahmedabad to Jaiour and was delivered on 05/04/2012 at my residence in Jaipur. While shifting the household items the books rack & Study cum computer table has been completely damaged. It seems that packing was done in a very poor manner. The books rack was packed with books itself and due to this it was broken. The study cum computer table was not unscrewed and was packed as it is. The packing material was no enough to pack. I contacted and complained to customer care head of Agarwal Packers Mr. Chandrabhushan and local office authorities in Jaipur & Ahmedabad but even after One month 15 days the company has not done settlement. The cost of these items is INR 9,500 which is not yet paid by Agarwal Packers. They are not responding to my emails and not doing settlement. I am forced to lodge a complaint on account of negligence from Agarwal Packers. Please help me in getting the reimbursement from the said company for my damaged furniture. Agarwal Packers & Movers Ltd. — Damage of household goods
I had booked my household goods to be transported from New Delhi to Chatrapur through Agarwal Packers & Movers Limited under Consignment No. 688567. I had paid the entire amount of Rs. 48000/- in advance on 19.07.2011, the day on which the goods were lifted from my residence at Vikaspuri in New Delhi, towards their charges. The goods were delivered at the destination at IRE Housing Complex at Matikhalo, Chatrapur, Ganjam, Odisha on 12.08.2011. I found that almost all the articles barring a few were damged/broken substantially. On my refusal to receive the goods, the representative of the Company made me speak to the Company's Countryhead and the Reginal Manager at Bhubaneswar who assured me of repairing/replacement of the damaged articles at the earliest and I was told not to carry out the repair work and await for their representative who would be accompanied by Mechanic/Carpenter. However, another representative came to me place on 17.08.2011 and bargained with me for compensation and started from a meagre amount of Rs. 2000/- though the damage was to the tune of Rs. 15000/-. The Regional Manager once again sopke to me and started bargaining me taking reference to Insurance Claim as if I had transported the goods through Agarwal Packers & Movers Limited with an atnticipation of damage of my household articles and then getting the Insurance thereby defeating the very cause of tranportation through their Company and also trying to manipulate the concept of Insurance. I would request for an early action.
