[Resolved]  Agarwal Packers & Movers Ltd. — Damage Goods no unpacking done

I had booked my house holds goods from Chennai to Patna from your regional office in Chennai, which had been coordinated by Rakesh in your office (Ph No: [protected], [protected]), the following things were promised while the booking was done;

1. Packing of goods
2. Use of hard plastic boxes for packing breakable material such as crockery
3. Transportation of goods from Chennai to Patna
4. Unloading of goods in Patna
5. Unpacking of goods in Patna
6. Assembling of Bed in Patna
7. Installation of refrigerator / TV /Air conditioner etc.
8. Proper verification of goods and if there are any damages handling the insurance claims
9. Rakesh to supervise everything till the closure

The following commitments of the agreement have not been meet yet
1. Use of hard plastic boxes for packing breakable material such as crockery – cardboard boxes used for packing
2. Unpacking of goods in Patna – No unpacking done yet, goods unloaded on 5 a.m. 30th Aug.
3. Assembling of Bed in Patna – Not done yet, at the time o[censored]nloading promised that there will be a staff arriving at 9:00 a.m. to do the so , repeated calls made to Patna office which denied assistance and was abusive , then to Chennai office (Rakesh) and Hyderabad center. All promised to give a call back and get the same arranged but the same has not been done
4. Installation of refrigerator / TV /Air conditioner etc. – None of them was even unpacked, it had to be done from external vendor which has incurred in addition charges and harassment
5. Proper verification of goods and if there are any damages handling the insurance claims – boxes were not unpacked thus there was no idea of damage, when we did unpacking of few boxes most of the things are broken which require an insurance claim to be filled.

In Addition to the above points these are the details of other charges of breach of contract, customer harassment and fraud.
1. The response by the Patna team has been arrogant and abusive and they are not even picking up our call, Rakesh from Chennai insured that he will get all arranged at 12:00 noon on 30th Aug. but never called back and now he is also not answering calls. Hyderabad team was called 4 times , last call made at 4:10 p.m. 30th Aug. insuring to get all arranged and give a call back but there is no response till now.
2. Since the unloading staff asked for giving a count of boxes and there will be people arriving at 9:00 for unpacking thus the same was signed with a clause that unpacking staff will arrive at 9:00 a.m. Now the situation is nobody has arrived and there is an insurance claim required for broken stuffs, this is a clear case of fraud.


I have made an upfront payment of 31,000 Rs to Agarwal packers and movers for a contract mentioning the above clauses, the goods are sent to my parents who are senior citizens, this has resulted in a huge incontinence for them. An e-mail was also sent to Agarwal packers MD as an complain on 30th August 2011, but there is no response, this is a breach of trust, breach of contract, financial loss and fraud,
