[Resolved]  Air France — Missing Baggage

I have been following up with AirFrance on the issue of my goods missing from Air France flight which they admitted due to difference in the weight of boarding and arrival but till today after 4-5 years airline has not been listening to me for compensation of any kind inspite of that they are mentioning that I should not have kept any expensive stuff in the cargo baggage

I, Sneha Hegde was supposed to travel from Boston to Bangalore via Air France (AF333 and AF192 ) on 23rd May. Since AF333 was delayed, I missed the connecting flight (AF192)from Paris to Bangalore.I had reached Paris around 10:15 am on 24th May and the boarding for AF192 was closed. Air France authorities moved me to Jet AIrways which was scheduled to depart at 21:10 on 24th May to Mumbai and then from there to Bangalore. I had to wait in the airport for about 11 hours and there was no lounge facility provided there too. Once I reached Mumbai, I got to know that my baggage was still in Paris as Air France had not handed it over to Jet Airways. Jet Airways handed me over a File Reference and said that luggage would be directly delivered to my home in a day or two.I reached Bangalore on 25th May around 4pm and it has been 4 days since I am in Bangalore and I have still not received my luggage. Every time I call Jet Airways, I get different responses. Some say luggage has arrived Bangalore Airport and they are waiting for clearance and some say they dont have confirmation if the luggage has reached Bangalore. After 42hrs of journey back to Bangalore, I still havent got my luggage and I have lost 5 working days as well.

Since I missed my connecting flight (Air France AF192) from Paris to Bangalore on 24th May due to the delay in AirFrance flight from Boston to Paris, I was moved to Jet Airways(9W 123) . At about, 10.20 am(Paris Time), 24thMay, I was given the JetAirways ticket to Mumbai. I spent almost 11hrs at airport as the flight was at 21:10(Paris time) and there was no lounge provided too. There was no Jet airways contact person at Paris airport so that I could get information about my check in ags.Finally when I reached the Mumbai airport, I got to know that my luggage was still in Paris and Jet Airways just gave me a complaint number and said that luggage would be delivered to my home on 27th May. But I still havent received my luggage and when I call the Jet airways toll free number, I get the same response saying once the luggage gets a custom clearance, it will be delivered. But its already been 4days since I am in Bangalore. I will be flying to Cincinnati once again after 2 to 3 months. If this is the kind of service that AirFrance provides, then I need to think of an alternate option . I have lost 5 working days of mine waiting for the baggage. Who needs to be held responsible for this and I need a clear explaination as well as compensation from Air France for their sheer negligence.
