Aircel — UNNECESSARY ACTIVATIONS & POOR CUSTOMER SERVICE

Hello Aircel,

(I think this kind of complaint to you has become a regular TEMPLATE in my mailing list).

I am Deepak bearing Aircel prepaid mobile number ([protected]). I am very much annoyed with Aircel services.

ISSUE: Last Sunday (24, Feb, 2013), I was charged Rs 30/- for some 'IPLAY' contest even though I did not select or even I did not get info regarding that subscription. Immediately I spoke to customer care and asked to deactivate and refund the deducted amount; also informed that I had similar kind o[censored]nnecessary subscriptions again and again.

RESPONSE: The customer care rep assured deactivation and refund in 48 hours time.

ISSUE: I got deactivated message, but no refund even after 72 hours. When I called back customer care about the reason, I was really so surprised that they gave response like "You cannot get refund because you requested to just deactivate, so there will NOT BE ANY REFUND". They are putting me hold or just disconnecting without valid response and when I kept on calling again, they say "Do you have any proof that you requested for refund?"

Do you think is this customer care? If at all you need proof, check the call records or logs you have. You ask customer to show proof! So next time when ever I want to speak to you, should I get ready with a call recorder and should I call from a near by police station to show you evidence?

Why do you make automatic subscriptions and why again want to make customer himself reason for all these kind of nonsense? I have not subscribed wantedly or by mistake. It is definitely technical problem from your side. Rs 30 or Rs 1 is not a matter, but unnecessary service subscriptions is unbearable.

Kindly resolve this issue and refund my amount Rs 30/- and show your so called CARE for your customer. Otherwise, I would file a complaint to consumer court and definitely would proceed legally to any far extent.

Get back to me at the earliest before I get another subscription without my choice. I am fearing to recharge my mobile with higher amounts because the balance may cut off all of a sudden with these shocking messages!!!

Customer care reps are really bad at handling customers.

I loved and using Aircel from past 8 years (was at Chennai and now at Hyderabad) and I really like to stick with forever. I never thought to port to some other network even though I do not get proper signal in my native place. But now I started HATING you AIRCEL....!!!

I UNDERSTAND THAT MISTAKES HAPPEN, BUT SAME MISTAKE AGAIN AND AGAIN IS BAD!

Please respond to me immediately and refund, or else simply let me know so that I can switch to some other network.

Got a call from Aircel. Amount refunded and issue forwarded to concerned dept.
